We have a New Moon on October 25th at 3:48 AM PDT, as the Sun and Moon share the 2nd degree of Scorpio. There is also a partial Solar Eclipse at 4 AM PDT. We are being showered with this Fixed Water sign in a powerful way!

Scorpio lands in the middle of Autumn, and being the second month of this season it is solid, strong in its judgements, determined and stubborn. This Fixed sign shares a need for respect, and when Scorpio‘s don‘t receive it, they disappear, as if magically. They never forget, and at times never forgive. It is a Water sign, very sensitive and at times suspicious. It can be difficult to reason with this energy, so powerful and touchy. And no one protects like a Scorpio, when cornered. They have a sting you will likely not forget.

The planet Pluto rules this sign. Pluto is the transformer, reformer, the Phoenix. Scorpio‘s can crash and burn and rise out their own ashes, better for it. Scorpio‘s tend to learn the hard way, hanging on desperately in order not to be left vulnerable. They can tend to be loners rather than suffer because of others. The symbol for Scorpio is the scorpion with its mighty stinger. It represents the lower nature of this sign. The higher version is the eagle, flying high and seeing things from that perspective.

This year the Sun and Moon share the 2nd degree of Scorpio with the planet Venus. When Venus is in this sign we desire a deep, intense, passionate union with those we love, and can feel quite attached emotionally. This can inspire possessiveness and jealousy when any threat to this connection takes place. If you are betrayed, you are capable of hating with as much force and intensity as you once loved. At this time you are attracted to people who have an aura of mystery about them.

Also in this stellium is Mercury at 22 degrees

Libra, making this another conjunction. You’ll tend to see things from your perspective only and to be rather subjective. Idle talk and gossip can be your vices.

All and all, we are prone to emotional extremes with this event. They will come from deep inside of us, screaming in the darkness. It is time for transformation, to let go of limitation and fear. This sign is fearless, willing to go to extremes in order to settle the score. Or, you can use this energy to go deep within and connect with Spirit in order to transform. Venus conjunct the sun shows others your kindness, friendship and affection. It also imbues us with an artistic feeling that lends itself to us embellishing our surroundings and ourselves. With Venus conjunct the Moon, unkindness or harshness will offend you very much, so you will be conscious of everyone's feelings. Go deep.

Pluto in Capricorn at 26 degrees squares the Sun, Moon Mercury and Venus. This intensifies the need for evolution and change. With all of this energy in Scorpio, and Mercury in Libra (balance), we are being pushed into our higher nature. Where we are willful or fanaticle we will try to hide our motives and look for excuses. Our intense desires and feelings can bring on stormy and painful interactions. Jealousy, power struggles, or over-possessiveness can become areas of conflict in your relationships. Positively, you can be unusually creative and bring about beneficial and healing changes in the lives of others, motivated by your deeply felt love. It’s a choice, how we use this energy.

Knowing that the New Moon is a starting point for what we are giving birth to, creating, the perfect use of this energy is to reach deep into our subconscious for clues to where we still store FEAR. Scorpio rules sexuality, all things occult, death and transformation. Our thinking mind with Mercury in Libra wants justice, stability and equality. Scorpio wants power, but the surest way to find it is to work on ourselves in ways that unlimit our perceptions of life that keep us stuck. Be it our sexuality, we need to look beyond the illusion and find our heart and where it has been wounded. Does it keep us from loving as deeply as we would like to, need to? If it’s the mysteries of life, what a perfect time to study, investigate and learn about all the hidden aspects of life. And, if the fear of death, dying and what comes next; there is the greatest question of all. All the answers lie deep within us, as we find death is just a doorway to somewhere else.

So take the time to dive deep within on this occasion. With a New Moon and partial Solar Eclipse, we have THE POWER to transform. Ask for help from Spirit who is always close by, whispering wisdom into our minds to help us on our way. Set your goals and live up to them! You will be proud and ready for more movement forward.

On October 9th at 1:55 PM PDT the Sun and Moon oppose each other exactly at 16 degrees 33 minutes. The Sun in the sign of Libra and the Moon in Aries marks this Full Moon. As with all Full Moons, it is potentially the pinnacle of all things set into motion on the New Moon. The New Moon in Aries occurred minutes before April Fools Day, 2022, roughly 6 months prior.

During that time we were focused on our own power, the power of one. We were discovering whether or not we’ve accessed our personal power and how we wanted to proceed on our own behalf. Now, months later we see what our hopes and dreams have brought us. At that time the Sun and Moon in Aries gave us full fiery power to dream big; now with the Sun in Libra we are finding out if our goals were balanced or not.

This Full Moon in Aries has many facets to observe. First, let’s review. Aries is a Cardinal Fire Sign, as it begins the new Solar Year. The Fire element is quick, alert and responds immediately to input. You could say it jumps the gun, it is very reactive. It lends a force to be reckoned with. But, the Sun in Libra wants harmony, beauty and grace. It gives us a pause, directs us to reconsider and use our compassionate nature. So Aries, through this lens is subdued to a point; encouraged to contemplate solutions rather than act out.

This year the planet Venus, stationed at 13 degrees Libra, also opposes the Full Moon. This aspect can give you conflicting emotional desires and needs which can complicate your personal life. Don’t get lost in feelings that you cannot depend on your love partners to take care of you, as this one inspires that “oh whoa is me” attitude. You’ll know you’re there if you are seeking comfort like overeating or using. Rather, use the fire of the Full Moon to cut through the illusions we’ve set up for ourselves.

There’s a sextile from the planet Saturn at 18 degrees Aquarius that lightens the load. It helps us to keep perspective and objectivity about highly charged emotional issues, sometimes to the chagrin of others who might wish that you would react more intensely.

So back to square one. The Aries/Libra axis. Two very different energies, ruled by Mars and Venus. With all that is going on in our lives and our world, how do we balance these energies? I suggest you consider taking out a journal, or your computer and doing some writing. Begin with Aries, and list honestly all the personal goals you’ve registered in your mind to strive for. Go one by one until you run out of ideas.

Now, follow each one up with how you’ve done, accomplished, released, or still holding. Now, once that is complete look at Libra. List honestly all the goals you’ve set for yourself and others to accomplish together. One by one recollect every intention you’ve set that would enhance you and the group(s) that you belong to, from family to friends to teams, on and on.

Then follow up with the same. Do this in order to flush out any old, outworn objectives as well as reignite those waiting in the wings.

It is good to admit to ourselves where we still haven’t met our highest potential while celebrating our accomplishments no matter how small. This is a ritual meant to clear out the cobwebs in our mind and direct our attention in a fresh way. These two signs are about me and we, a topic we will have to contend with our whole lives. In order to do our best, periodically we need to clear out the files;)

This year, on September 22nd at 6:03 PM PDT we have the moment of the Autumnal Equinox! We are turning the corner from Summer to Fall, in the Northern Hemisphere, and it’s time for ceremony.

We are celebrating the seasonal change, and beginning the second half of the Solar Year. We have equal day and night hours on this date. It is marked by the Sun entering the sign of Libra, a Cardinal Air Sign. Cardinal as it begins the Autumn season, and with it comes the opportunity to begin anew. The first month of every season is Cardinal, bringing us new options, new ideas and new ways to communicate with each other. Libra is an Air Sign, one of intelligence, using their contemplation and analytical abilities to sort out life. Libra wants to give everyone a voice when leading a group. Libra is active/male in its polarity, but gentle and compromising energy. This makes it hard for the Libran energy to find its leadership opportunities, as it is its nature to seek all sides and at times, take no sides.

Libra is ruled by the planet Venus, along with Taurus. The arts, music, harmony and beauty are very important to Librans. Venus is the planet of love and attraction, affection, and values. Due to the active/male energy governing Libra, the feminine energy brought by Venus accentuates the balance of the sign: Male/Female. Again, astrologers believe another planet will be discovered that is the true rulership of Libra. Time will tell.

The symbol for Libra is the Scales of Justice. Libra energy denotes fairness, justice, and balance. It also is read as a half setting sun below the horizon, thus the first half of the year culminating and the second begun. Balance, equality, harmony and peace are necessary for a happy Libran. The highest use for a Libran is to seek balance in their life. To find balance in work/play, social/alone time, material and spiritual pursuits. To learn to make choices built on personal conviction rather than always trying to make someone else happy. To find their voice and work honestly toward harmony in all environments.

This year, the planet Mercury is conjunct the Sun at 0 degrees Libra, Retrograde. This bolsters up the mental ingenuity of this Equinox. When Mercury is Retrograde, we may have a logjam in our plans, misunderstandings with others that need to be looked at. With this planet and the Sun joined together, we can plan on needing to reexamine our choices, plans and actions in order to fully begin correctly and not spin our wheels. Take time to do this and you will be more successful.

We begin the new season with the Moon in Leo, setting the season up for creativity. Emotionally we will be rewarded when we use our imagination and generate beauty in our surroundings. We are blessed with beauty and fragrance to bring into our homes, and adding color to our environment assists us in keeping optimistic and hopeful in these difficult times.

The Sun, Mercury and Venus at 22 degrees Virgo all trine Pluto stationed at 26 degrees Capricorn. With these fortunate aspects you will have a deep belief in your own power and your ability to survive any change, and to emerge victoriously from any difficulty. Your mind is driven to study subjects that are mysterious, anything secret or hidden, and may be drawn to esoteric or occult studies. You’ll feel love deeply, passionately and wholeheartedly, and others may find your intensity either extremely attractive or threatening. Use this energy positively, don’t find yourself manipulating others.

So to truly celebrate the moment of this new season, it is customary to set up a ritual. I suggest going outdoors and setting up a medicine wheel. This can be a physical sacred hoop made with stones, bundles of sacred herbs, whatever natural ingredients you choose. Or, it can be a work of art on a canvas. This wheel represents the four directions and coincides with the four seasons. As you create this wheel, consider the Solar Year beginning with Aries in the East, Cancer in the South, Libra in the West, and Capricorn in the North. As you move through the wheel, begin your journey in the East and review what this new year has taught you, seeing it through the eyes of a child. Move to the South and look through the eyes of your youth. As you enter the West, you are seeing life through the eyes of your adult self. It is now time to imagine yourself making mature choices built upon the insights you’ve gained in getting here. Feel the shower of cosmic energy imbuing you with patience and compassion. Then, finish your journey through the Sacred Hoop with loving gratitude in the North, for the wisdom gained through a life well lived. Close the ceremony and seal it with love and hope for the second half of our Solar Year to bring us into harmony with each other and our world. Blessings to all of humanity now and always.
