On June 14th at 7:54 AM PDT the Sun and Moon align at 24 degrees Gemini 3 minutes. This is a New SuperMoon due to its close approach to Earth. On this occasion we may not even see the Moon as its brightness is facing toward the Sun, so seeing an amazing display of the night sky can be seen the night before, the night of and after.

It is also a Void of Course Moon, as there are no planetary alignments with any other planets. When a New Moon is Void of Course, its effects can make for a wandering mind, restlessness, and distraction. Astrologers believe at this time we should avoid launching a business, signing contracts, having a job interview, first dates, making major purchases, having elective procedures, and weddings. The best uses for this period include routine tasks, spiritual practices, creative brainstorming without commitment, rest, finishing existing projects, and research.

Gemini rules communications, thinking, learning, and what we are curious about. It is a Mutable Air Sign. All Mutable signs occur in the last month of a season, when there are signs of the one that’s ending and the one to come. Gemini brings us Summer on the Solstice, yet during this month there are days with Spring weather and some you could swear Summer has arrived! It is an Air Sign, meaning all things mental. The mental prowess of this sign is blessed with great humor and wit due to the quick thinking. Mercury, the messenger, rules Gemini. As a mutable air sign, Gemini applies Mercury’s mental energy through communication, social interactions, and rapid-fire thought processes. But with this New Moon being Void of Course, our thinking may be scattered.

We are being asked to slow down, to reconsider, to rethink. The planet Mercury will go retrograde on June 29th, so this New Moon starts the process of more planning and less action. Clarity of focus is being compromised, so be very clear on your plans. Doubt can enter your mind and this is where we challenge ourselves to comb through our ideas with a fine tooth comb. I suggest at this time to think of ourselves as the creator of our lives, rather than a pawn in a play. We have the power to create our future with more deliberate action once we have spent the time and energy to find the correct path.

The planet Mercury is stationed at 18 degrees Cancer, and is squared by Saturn at 13 degrees Aries. The transit of Mercury square Saturn creates friction between the quick, curious nature of your mind (Mercury) and the rigid, restrictive energy of Saturn (Saturn). It causes temporary mental blocks, pessimistic thinking, or intense scrutiny during communication. You may struggle to get your point across, or others may perceive your words as overly harsh, critical, or pessimistic. Saturn's cautious energy helps catch errors, so it’s a great time for meticulous proofreading.

So with everything happening in our minds; the planning, the casting of wishes, the paths we must follow… consider this. Who do you want to be? What have you left to learn about? How do you go about creating your new reality? Well, put on your thinking caps and reach for the stars! This is the best time of year to dig deep into your soul and find the feather of truth.

On May 31st at 1:45 AM PDT the Sun opposes the Moon exactly. The Sun is stationed at 9 degrees Gemini 56 minutes and the Moon stationed at 9 degrees Sagittarius 56 minutes. It is a “Blue Moon” as it is the second Full Moon in the same calendar month.

On every Full Moon we can look back to when it was new, for guidance. What were you hoping for, planning to do when the Moon was New in Sagittarius? On December 9th of 2025 this was the last New Moon of the year. This Fire Sign delivered the impetus to see what was beyond the horizon, past what we have already come to believe about ourselves and our potential. Sagittarius is a Mutable Fire Sign; Mutable as it is the last month of Fall, and the Fire element to see it through. Now, with the Sun in Gemini, the axis relates to what we think we know, and what we wish to know. Gemini is a Mutable Air sign, ruled by Mercury the messenger, and is adaptable and flexible like Sagittarius. The air element brings cleverness to Gemini, unencumbered with the need to stubbornly adhere to old ways. They think on their feet, are lost in their thoughts, and challenged with the goal of bringing those thoughts down to earth.

With Sagittarius, the Fire element fuels this sign, infusing it with a powerful fiery temperament. Sagittarius uses this power to create unfettered. The energy is so volatile it needs to be channeled correctly. It is masculine/positive energy. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system. It is so powerful; it expands and exaggerates this already powerful sign, and gives it a greater capacity. Jupiter is the benefic planet, bringing promise of greater things. This energy lends itself to immense contributions. The Archer shooting his arrow is the symbol for Sagittarius as this sign is shooting farther and higher than most. They are independent creators, setting the bar for others to try and reach over. It is also represented by the Centaur, half man and half horse. The symbology denotes man rising from his lower nature.

On this occasion, our Full Moon is aspected by the planets Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Saturn at 12 degrees Aries trines the Moon, bringing us an inner poise and balance that enables us to act in a cool, efficient manner during emotional traumas and stress. We can keep perspective and objectivity about highly charged emotional issues, sometimes to the chagrin of others who might wish that we would react more intensely. Typically, Full Moons are full of emotional intensity, so Saturn is here to help.

Uranus is opposite the Moon stationed at 2 degrees Gemini. While in this sign for the next 7 years we are experiencing a communication overhaul. This liberates our minds to think beyond what has been realized before. When it opposes the Full Moon, this powerful astrological combination pits the rebellious, fast-paced energy of Uranus in Gemini against the philosophical, truth-seeking illumination of a Full Moon in Sagittarius. It creates a volatile push-pull between the facts you are currently processing and the deeper, ultimate truths you feel obligated to live by. Now is the perfect moment to shed past illusions, beliefs and routines that kept you tethered to a limited life.

Neptune, stationed at 4 degrees Aries, trines the Full Moon. Creating beauty and harmony in your surroundings will have a very powerful effect on your emotions. This aspect brings a heightened sensitivity where being in an atmosphere of discordance will send you leaving the stage. Gentle, kindhearted, and peace-loving energy is welcomed, and you will give or sacrifice much in order to avoid a fight and to make everyone happy.

And Pluto, stationed at 5 degrees Aquarius sextiles the Full Moon, empowering deep, progressive transformation. It assists us to break free from restrictive routines by combining the visionary, system shifting energy of Pluto with the truth-seeking, expansive nature of Sagittarius. For many of us have been on the search for what is real, and what is not. We have done the work of investigating our own foibles, to find the source of our limitations. We are in a momentous time of change, growth and becoming what we were designed to be; masters of our own light and love. “Trust the unknown horizon, growth begins where certainty ends.”

On May 16th at 1:01 PM PDT the Sun and Moon align at 25 degrees Taurus 58 minutes; this is the moment of the New Moon. It is the second New Moon of our Solar Year, having begun with the New Moon in Aries. At that time the fiery energy inspired new beginnings; a rebirth of sorts. Whatever was cast into motion with our hopes and plans is now being carried, nurtured and established in Taurus.

This Fixed Earth sign rules the second month of Spring. Ruling the second month makes Taurus solid, grounded and anchored into its environment, like the seeds that have taken root. Taurus energy brings the nurturing that is necessary for a seed to sprout. It is simple, basic, uncomplicated energy. Now is the time to get secure and creative with what we imagined we could build, plant, establish. The Earth element connects us to our planet in such a way we become its guardian. With Venus ruling Taurus, all things beautiful are highlighted, from our own personal appearance, flowers and color around our homes, to art, music and all that we as humans can create. If you had an idea or plan from the Aries inspiration, Taurus will motivate you to embellish your creation, and provide what is needed. This is the sign of values, what we find most important. It strives for security, whether financial or in relationships.

This New Moon has positive aspects to it from Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus. Mercury is conjunct these luminaries at 28 degrees Taurus. Mercury, the messenger, in the sign of Taurus slows down our thinking, helping us to consider things in a very deliberate and methodical manner. Under this influence, you may dislike being rushed or forced to give an opinion before you have thoroughly digested an idea, and others may find it difficult to influence you once your mind is made up.

Jupiter at 21 degrees Cancer is sextile the Sun and New Moon. When Jupiter is in Cancer, we have a loving, protective side that wants to take care of everyone. Creating a supportive atmosphere that is nourishing both to yourself and to others is the greatest use of this energy. The sextile expands love, optimism, and charity. It is time to feel the harmony in what we all share, the opportunity to grow and climb the ladder of our own personal success.

Uranus is also conjunct the Sun and Moon at 1 degree Gemini 11 minutes. Uranus is the planet of freedom, and when in Gemini our thinking can become unlimited. This energy provides the impetus to question everything and come to a new conclusion. Like a root bound plant, we must untangle the roots and provide new soil to encourage healthy growth.

The New Moon in Taurus is considered a SuperMoon, where it appears 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual. This is due to its closeness, the perigee, of its orbit. With its arrival in daylight, the nights of the 15th and 16th will be awesome to view!

Keep your eye on the prize, whether it’s self improvement, new sources of income, opening your mind to possibilities that before seemed unattainable. Self awareness and optimism can go a long way in stabilizing our lives now, so make your best efforts count:)
