On December 7th at 8:09 PM PST, the Sun and Moon oppose each other exactly, The Sun stationed at 16 degrees Sagittarius 1 minute, and the Moon at 16 degrees Gemini 1 minute create this month’s Full Moon. These two signs deal with the creative mind and the logical mind. Here we are looking at our communications, observations and thoughts that drive us.

As with every Full Moon, we look back to when the New Moon was in the same sign, and what we were inspired to create. Here we look back to the New Moon in Gemini which took place May 30th of this year. Try to remember what plans you were making, what ideas you were coming up with, and look now for their results. Maybe it was to further your education, or write that book, maybe to iron out the differences with a friend or loved one with a lovingly crafted letter. Whatever you considered was like a seed being planted; able to grow into a reality you made possible.

Now with the Sun in Sagittarius, a Mutable Fire Sign, we are setting the bar high on our projects and plans. We have the Fire energy to keep us inspired and active. With a Gemini Moon; a Mutable Air Sign, thoughts are intellectual and quick witted. Gemini’s glyph or symbol is the Twins, due to its nature to see both sides clearly. Don’t try and debate a Gemini unless you’re ready to be outdone! Quicksilver Messenger Service comes quickly with humor and intelligence. So this Full Moon is about what you may have intended to set into motion, and how you feel emotionally about your progress. Gemini isn’t into heavy, emotional drama, and neither is Sagittarius. So we can see clearly with a sharp mind.

At this time exactly conjunct the Moon is Mars at 16 degrees Gemini. Oh boy! Let the fireworks begin;) Gemini is quick to find fault, mistakes and flaws in whatever the subject matter is, and can make for dry exchanges. Mars, being the planet of War, wants to lead the charge into debates that express the frustrations, annoying circumstances in play, so as to move forward. Yikes. Watch the direction of your conversations on this Full Moon, skip the ones about religion, government, known differences of opinions or you’re likely to have arguments;)

The Moon and Mars in Gemini are opposite the Sun in Gemini. They are both squared by Neptune at 22 degrees Pisces. This creates a T-Square, and the avenue for discovery and insights comes from Neptune. Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions. Like the Twins with Gemini, they illustrate the dual nature; male/female, yin/yang, positive/negative. To me, it’s like having two sides of the brain working together in harmony. We have the opportunity to see now

how far we’ve come from a more spiritual perspective with Neptune’s assistance; one that includes dreams, hopes and wishes. Rather than be hard on ourselves or others, celebrate what is, and continue on. One pitfall of Neptune's energy is the inspiration to escape difficulties through drugs, alcohol, fleeing rather than confronting, so be on the lookout.

Reining these energies in is Saturn at 20 degrees Aquarius, sextile the Sun and trine the Moon. This brings a level headedness that hopefully keeps that Mars/Moon combo from getting too out of hand. It’s important to have talks now, but be clear about your feelings and those of others. What’s first and foremost is your delivery, whether it’s inviting and energetic, or combative and aggressive. You can be direct without angering others, and losing their attention. So the saying “pick your battles wisely” is appropriate now.

On November 23rd at 2:58 PM PST, the Sun and Moon join forces in Sagittarius at 1 degree 38 minutes. The Sun begins its transit of this sign the day before the Moon arrives. This is a blessed time, as we have been through so much with the eclipse season in the signs of Scorpio and Taurus, we need a break. We could all use some inspiration!

Sagittarius is a Mutable Fire Sign. Mutable as it represents the last month of the Autumn season, and shows signs one day of Fall and another of Winter. This mutable sign is flexible and able to adapt to what lies ahead. Mutable signs are mental, having to change from one thing to the next, and learn the best ways to accomplish tasks. Sagittarians tend to be alone even in a crowd, unique, creative and full of energy. It is a powerful Fire sign, shooting for the stars with its creative inspiration. In the horoscope, this sign rules the search for meaning and knowledge through travel, experience, higher education and human interaction. It is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of growth, abundance, and philosophy.

With the New Moon we are setting new intentions. The avenue for moving forward at this time is to have a generous heart. To chase away fears with optimism. To find new ways to aim for a better life and make the moves to achieve that. This lunation cycle ensures plenty of energy and good will to move us to our highest goals. Those that have to do with finding a way to connect with our own guidance, and following it to our greatest success.

At this time the Sun and Moon trine Jupiter at 28 degrees Pisces. As Jupiter is the ruling planet of this lunation cycle, it benefits us all with a generous dose of positivity. It drives us to dream our highest aspirations and have the self confidence to achieve them. Acting with good intent and a cheerful disposition will attract benefits to you in a seemingly magical way! Being easygoing and tolerant, forgetting the past and letting go of other’s mistakes will allow you to forgive yourself with the mistakes you’ve made along the way. On this occasion you will enjoy making others comfortable and happy, just watch out that you don’t over do your generosity.

This year the New Moon arrives the day before Thanksgiving. It will set the mood, bring us much joy if we allow it. I have heard many speak of history and this holiday representing anything but peace and good company. I look at this day as a time of sharing, of family and friends, of all things good. Rather than a stressful day of disagreements, look beyond the veil to who we really are. One of many striving to live a good life, to love and care for each other. This is truly what the day is all about.

So on this beautiful occasion I recommend giving yourself a peaceful moment on the afternoon of the 23rd. Allow your mind to wander, to imagine what you are creating for your future. Do you desire more creativity in your life? This is the day to dream it into reality, whatever it may be. Do you wish to become wiser, to keep learning? This sign is all about that, as it rules higher learning, as in college. The Archer shooting his arrow is the symbol for Sagittarius as this sign is shooting farther and higher than most. They are independent creators, setting the bar for others to try and reach over. It is also represented by the Centaur, half man and half horse. The symbology denotes man rising from his lower nature.

Likewise, imagine yourself, rising from your lower nature, and arriving at your highest potential. Feel the fiery energy supporting you to act decisively and purposefully. After all, we are all drops in the sea of Spirit, equally important and loved by the Infinite. Believe it.

On November 8th, 2022 we have a powerful light show. There is a Full Lunar Eclipse beginning two minutes before the Full Moon arrives at the exact opposite sign and degree as the Sun, at 3:02 AM PST. The Eclipse will be visible from North America, and begins at 3 AM PST, and should culminate around 6 AM. The Moon is at 16 degrees Taurus 1 minute, and the Sun is stationed at 16 degrees Scorpio 1 minute.

As we remember what we were wishing to create when the Moon was New in Taurus, back on April 30th of this year, we had the first Eclipse of the Sun in Taurus. We were being asked by the energies to look at our morals and standards, our finances and possessions, and to move towards our objectives with strength; fearless. Now, 6 months later, what has become of those? Has fear been allowed to stop you in your tracks, or have you slow but surely moved toward your goals? Now with the Sun in Scorpio, the issue of our values becomes very clear. Do we share them or bury them?

There has been so much spoken and written about the Elections of November 8th, good and bad, and here we have a Full Moon Eclipse happening on the very day! What a set up.

The Sun and Moon are joined by many planets to strengthen the power behind this opposition. The Sun in Scorpio is a powerful sign, very mysterious and deep, and somewhat taboo. Scorpio rules desire in the old school of astrology, and with desire come all the consequences. It can be a sign of extremes, when unbalanced, and great power and depth when balanced. It is a Fixed Water Sign, committed in its emotional responses. The waters run deep in Scorpio and can dredge up old wounds and issues to the surface to be dealt with. The Sun is joined by Mercury and Venus in Scorpio. Mercury in this sign, ruling the mind and communications, can affect one to tend to see things from their perspective only and to be rather subjective. Venus adds a strong attachment and at times possessiveness to loved ones. Watch out for jealousy and bad behavior if this is the case.

Opposite these is the Moon in Taurus, with an exact conjunction to Uranus in Taurus. The Moon in this sign is even tempered and peace loving, not easily ruffled and rarely given to emotional displays. Though gentle and not easily provoked, this Moon is tremendously stubborn and will resist any change which requires an emotional adjustment, such as changes in your home life or marriage. This Fixed Earth Sign seeks security and loyalty in love, and is extremely devoted to family and friends, providing a warm, nurturing atmosphere for them. With the planet Uranus joining the Moon we will crave emotional excitement and freedom, which the roller coaster ride of Election Day should provide. The Scorpio/Taurus axis asks us all how we feel about our present circumstances, and are we willing to do the work to fix what needs fixing? With these extreme energies the safest way to go is to dig deep for our truths and act on them. Not in a disruptive way, but a pledge to do the right thing.

Add to this a T-Square between this collective opposition and Saturn in Aquarius. Saturn in this sign is distrustful of groups and has a cynical attitude toward society. You can feel like you must do something or be something other than what you are in order to receive approval and acceptance from others. You’ll be very sensitive to criticism and easily feel left out or neglected, and though you may appear cool or distant, you actually care very much about being included. Self doubt can plague you now. Allow this energy to balance out these extreme feelings, as Aquarius is a Fixed Air Sign. It gives us the opportunity to step back and see things from a detached point of view. It takes us through to a new understanding of what is taking place. So, with the heavy emotions that come with the Full Moon, dial it back to a more inspired willingness to see things as they are and not look to blame others for our disappointments.

Our intuition will be wide open with this event. If you have the opportunity to be awake, or, to review and do a ceremony the night before when the Moon is full and bright, you won’t be sorry. The veil will be so thin we can access the most profound insights and connect heart to heart with ALL THAT IS. In fact, doing this the night before the election will set the tone for a very powerful Full Moon Eclipse as you sleep. Step into your new feelings as you awaken, using these powerful planets and luminaries to help clear the path for transformation.
