On March 28th at 11:48 AM the Moon is Full in Libra. The Sun is 8 degrees Aries 18 minutes, and the Moon is stationed at 8 degrees Libra 18 minutes. The Aries/Libra axis has to deal with the self, and the self in relationships. That is the focus of this Full Moon.

Libra is a Cardinal Air sign, meaning leadership (sign that leads us into a season) and intellect (Air sign). It is male in its polarity, but a gentle and compromising energy. This makes it hard for the Libran energy to find it’s leadership opportunities, as it is it’s nature to see all sides and at times, take no sides. It’s about harmony and balance, like the glyph of the scales.

So when the Moon is Full in Libra, this exaggerates the energies of compromise, cooperation, peace and unity. Libra is ruled by Venus, bringing in finances, our values, and our love nature. What we appreciate most is important now, and it being the time of consequences from the seeds planted at the New Moon in Pisces, we see what is working and not working.

Opposite the Moon is the Sun in Aries, and it is accompanied in exact degrees by Venus and Chiron. As Venus rules Libra, this one is interesting. Where the Full Moon is pointing out our relationships, the Sun, Venus and Chiron in Aries is pointing to the self. Aries is a Cardinal Fire Sign, leadership energy with brazenness and boldness. Very different from the calming conversation of Libra. Venus in Aries is reminding us to love ourselves first, as all else depends on that. Chiron, the wounded healer, in Aries points out where we’ve been hurt, and whether we can rise above it to heal. This stellium encourages us to seek our highest dreams and access them.

Helping us here is a Grand Air Trine between the Full Moon in Libra, the planet Saturn at 11 degrees Aquarius, and Mars conjunct the North Node at 14 degrees Gemini. A Grand Trine is flowing energies between these planets and the Moon, giving us a game plan on how to accomplish our goals. Saturn gives us stability and structure, and Mars supplies the energy. Now all we need is a plan......

In order to use these energies most productively, it’s time to look at ourselves and our goals. Its time to break free from what you feel others expect from you and to look realistically at whether or not your approach has worked. Have you kept yourself from voicing your feelings and concerns so you don’t disturb the “peace” you’ve created? Do you deny yourself for the greater good? Or, do you know what you are going after in life free from mental ruts? These planets and luminaries are giving you permission to look at life through a new lens rather than rose colored glasses. Don’t be afraid to say what you mean and do what you say. Don’t be wishy washy, be the authority in your life and set the path for your highest good. These energies can push you to finally speaking up and risking break ups and changes. But isn’t that what must happen at times in order to move forward?

So look at this event as an opportunity to rise to the occasion and set the terms for your new life; as we’ve celebrated the Vernal Equinox; the beginning of a new Solar Year. Courage is here for you to access. Ultimately, we are here to balance our lives through the healthy understanding of “me and we”. We have all been through a roller coaster ride in this last year, but it taught us so much about ourselves and those we love and associate with. Let’s clean up this life and enrich it now with our new understanding of who we are in this world and what we can accomplish.

Saturday, March 20th at 2:37 AM PDT (daylight savings time begins March 14) is the first moment of Spring! Oh boy, am I ready for this season to begin!! Every year when the Sun is stationed at 0 degrees Aries, is the astronomical first day of Spring. That is for the Northern Hemisphere; and for the Southern Hemisphere, it is their first day of Autumn.

Equinox is from Latin, meaning “equal night”. It is equal day/night and happens twice a year. For centuries people have celebrated this day as it brings hope for more light, more warmth and longer days. It signals when to plant our seeds according to where we live. It heralds the dream in action, created over these last weeks while the Sun is in Pisces.

Aries is a fire sign, as such ignites our individual concerns and actions. Being ruled by Mars, the planet that represents how we put our dreams into action, we are self d riven like the child in a new world. The energy is very basic and primal, willing to cry out when no one’s listening. This Fire Sign begins things, and animates life from flora to fauna. We can derive much inspiration now for our personal objectives and have the energy to follow through.

This childlike energy is best expressed creatively, as in planting a garden, refurbishing your surroundings, creating things with your hands, using color and form to bring your ideas to life. Take a walk and look around you for materials to create with, like finding a special rock. Everything can look magical through a childs’ eyes, so allow yourself to be that child for your happiest existence.

On Saturday March 13th, at 2:22 AM PST, the Sun and Moon align at 23 degrees Pisces 4 minutes. This is our last New Moon of the Solar year. We have a grand opportunity each year when this New Moon happens, as we end the old before we begin anew.

Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and represents the clearing of the hidden, unobserved cues and motivations behind our actions.Being a Mutable (flexible, adaptable) Water sign (empathetic, sensitive), Pisces energies can show us all whether or not we are willing to grow and let go, or will forever excuse our behavior as “meaningful”. Ruled by Neptune, the planet of mysteries, magic and fantasy; we are encouraged to release ourselves from what burdens us. But how do we do this is the question. Do we take the high road to clarity through study, research, prayer and meditation and go deeply into our subconscious for answers, or, do we take the low road and seek to escape through procrastination, substance abuse, sexual abuse....looking to blame others for our actions?

At the same time we have the planet Neptune conjoining this Sun/Moon in Pisces at 20 degrees. Again, Neptune rules Pisces, so this alignment strengthens this occasion with spiritual wisdom and compassion bestowed upon us. Add to this the planet Venus at 19 degrees Pisces, and this stellium is encouraging love.

This is a very creative energy, artistically as well as mentally. We can prepare ourselves for the Spring Equinox coming one week after this New Moon (3/20/21) by exercising our creative brain with activities as “story boarding” our goals, or dreaming and writing in our dream journal. Empty out the waste basket of your soul by seeking new solutions to old problems. After all, we are in a new world of our making, and making it more in the correct frequency, and high vibration, rather than low, makes it so much better! On this planet there are many temptations, good and bad, and we truly have the choice which path we take. It takes courage, ambition, and a high self esteem to break through the veil of self ignorance we may have presented to ourselves.

So, I am encouraging each of you to access this momentous event and do some inner work. It will be easier to access your deepest self due to these planets and luminaries coming together.

The energies are inspiring an open heart and compassion for ourselves and others. It is especially true with our concern for animals and nature. With this influence we see we are all part of the whole, we are also the guardians and caretakers of all of life. Pisces finds it hard to see where the lines divide us. We so need this understanding now. When you access your higher self, you see your part in the big picture, the role you play. You can choose to “edit” this version through self examination, journey work, hypnosis, altered states; all things Pisces.

So imagine you are at the end of a trail, and you see a fork in the road. One arrow points to freedom, and the other points to self gratification. As you study each sign, you are flooded with impulses that pull you in each direction. Yet, you know you are on the path to your highest goals. Without hesitation, take the road to freedom. Freedom from self condemnation, low self esteem, unworthiness, no confidence; or the other extreme of narcissism, excuses, blaming others for our misbehavior. My Father used to say, “you answer to the man in the mirror” in life, and the goal is to love your reflection.

You gain your own self esteem by breaking bad habits and moving forward free from addiction. This isn’t only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. You may be addicted to a “response” when you don’t feel safe; so you mourn the idea of losing your “go to”, reliable numbing techniques in order to survive, and make excuses for yourself. You may be addicted to people that you know are no good for you. But you continue to have them in your life for reasons only you know. Time to look in the mirror and admit to ourselves why we do what we do, and consciously choose to stop it. Now is the time.

So with determination of a higher purpose, follow your moral compass to the sights you can set on this New Moon. Gather all parts of yourself into the dreamtime; set your intention before going to sleep on 3/12/2021, to see the beauty and harmony in your world as it can be; without changing a thing but your perception. Follow this guidance and create a life worth living. It is up to you.
