On November 19, at 12:57 AM PST the Sun opposes the Moon. The Sun is stationed at 27 Scorpio 14 minutes, and the Moon is at 27 degrees Taurus 14 minutes. This Full Moon is also a Partial Lunar Eclipse, beginning Eclipse season. This axis of Scorpio/Taurus will become the theme for the coming years, as there are more Solar and Lunar Eclipses to come in these signs.

For those interested here is the list:

Solar Eclipse in Taurus April 2022

Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio May 2022

Solar Eclipse in Scorpio October 2022 Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio May 2023

Lunar Eclipse in Taurus October 2023

So what does this all mean? First about Eclipses. Every year we have about 6 Solar and Lunar Eclipses, some partial and some complete. They indicate rapid change in the area of your chart they land in. So, for this one look at Taurus and where it sits in your chart to see where the fast track can take place. With an Eclipse, the New and Full Moon’s energy is three times more powerful. A Solar Eclipse brings the dawn of new beginnings and opportunities, and the Lunar Eclipse signals predestined endings, breakdowns or advancement emotionally. So this is an important event.

Taurus is a Fixed Earth Sign. Fixed, as it is the second month of Spring, and as with all Fixed Signs, is determined, persistent and willful. This Earth Sign is grounded in its energy, and is concerned with humanities needs; it determines what is valuable to us from love, food, to possessions and finances. It drives us to seek satisfaction and/or gratification. Venus rules Taurus, and is the planet of love, values, and the feminine principle. The Bull is the symbol for Taurus, and like the bull, Taurus is strong and harmless until provoked; then steadfastly holds their ground and prepares for a fierce battle. Their material goals are commonly the source of these struggles.

Back to the axis of Taurus/Scorpio. Again this will be an ongoing theme for the next two years. Taurus is about needs, Scorpio is about desires. Taurus is about relationships and love, and Scorpio is about sexual needs. Taurus is about nurturing while Scorpio is about destruction. How we approach these areas of life is in full view with this Full Moon Partial Eclipse. This opposition brings to mind how to balance these two; where is life lacking, and how can it be remedied?

Now, let’s add to this the other planetary influences that are part of this event. Jupiter at 24 degrees Aquarius squares both the Sun and Moon, exaggerating this energy. Jupiter enlarges the issues, and forces us to deal with them. This T-Square points to Jupiter in Aquarius for the answers. This takes the lessons from us in a singular way and points to all of us, all of humanity, in it’s struggle to find the balance between these oppositions. We are all being challenged to adapt, modify and rebuild our lives, and at times we push back, or accommodate accordingly. These parts of our lives are difficult to change, as we have attached ourselves to comforts and entitlements that may no longer exist in our new version of the world. Do we struggle to recover what’s been lost to us, or elevate our minds to see new priorities? Can we make every effort to let go of what no longer is available, or no longer serves us? Yes! We can be the change in our world by letting go and recreating under these new circumstances.

So, where we may feel lazy, indulgent, stubborn, jealous, possessive, we are expressing the negative attributes of this axis. When we look outside ourselves, and become part of the change, doing our part is a goal for us all. What do you have to share? This is not a time to be stingy, but like the holiday coming our way, be Thankful. Random acts of kindness, helping those less fortunate will do so much for us all now. Imagine a world where these issues have been worked through, after much change in the financial picture, the markets and food availability, land and property values.....the list goes on. The more we all work towards fulfillment that isn’t at the cost of someone

else's, we enter a life worth living.

While setting up your altar, or planning a get together for this coming event, bring color, scent and beauty to celebrate. Flowers, crystals, rocks, food, all power objects to the party. We are celebrating the gifts that life brings us, and abundance. Surround yourself with loving family and friends, tell stories and share with each other that which lifts your heart. Live in the harmony Thanksgiving symbolizes, and bless the world with your joy and light. We are all in this together, no man/woman is an island. Reach out with love.

On Thursday November 4th at 2:14 PM PDT, the Sun and Moon align at 12 degrees Scorpio 40 minutes. On Sunday the 7th we are back to Standard Time, and the days grow shorter, and the nights longer.

Scorpio is a Fixed Water Sign; fixed as it lands in the 2nd month of the season of Autumn. Fixed energy lends itself to determination or stubbornness, however you look at it. It is of the water element, bringing much emotion, intuition and receptivity. Scorpio energy by nature is extremely sensitive, but it is often stuck in its own version of emotions. It can be difficult to reason with this energy, so powerful and touchy! But no one protects like a Scorpio, when cornered, as they have a sting you’re not soon to forget. Scorpios tend to learn the hard way, hanging on desperately in order not to be left vulnerable. They can tend to be loners rather than suffer because of others.

Scorpio is ruled by the planet Pluto, the transformer. Pluto is the reformer, and encourages us to let go of what limits us. Pluto rules the 8th house of the zodiac where we find all things regarding finances we hold with others, inheritance, death and transformation and the occult. Pluto is the God of the Underworld and provokes us to change fundamentally. Typically we make changes due to the “ego death” Pluto brings, and we rise from our own ashes renewed. That is if we have the courage to purge and let go.

So when the Sun and Moon align in this sign, we are set up to look deeply within ourselves for what we need to change in our lives. And in these times of trials and tribulations, there is plenty of fodder to alert us to these changes. We are emotionally lit to react, and we can take the two glyphs for Scorpio as indicators as to how we are using this energy. The first symbol is that of the Scorpion. This deadly predatory arachnid with it’s pincers and stinging tail just looks scary, as it charges its prey. It’s nocturnal and is one of those who come out of the dark to frighten us. The other symbol of Scorpio is the Eagle. It glides through it’s dominion searching from great heights for its sustenance. It too is a predator, but it’s majesty and graceful flight aligns with our ability to see things from a new perspective.

As we scan our lives for these needed changes, we also have some hefty planetary influences happening at the same time. We have Uranus in Taurus at 14 degrees, exactly opposing the Sun and Moon. Uranus is the planet of sudden, unexpected events that bring about awakening. It is the energy of freedom and seeking an unrestricted life. In the sign of Taurus, the sign that rules financial security, creature comforts, and food and its distribution, our frustrations are paramount. We may be forced to endure anxiety and stress, as Taurus is not a sign comfortable with change. But with these changes forced upon us, there has come immense freedom and liberation for many of us: freedom from being attached to a lifestyle we could no longer afford, financially or otherwise. We are under transformation, as I’ve said before, and if we work with the planetary energies we can pry ourselves out of our dormancy and move into our new improved life. It may not look like what we thought we were going to be doing at “our age” or “this time in our life”, but it is our life.

So in this time of the year, when the leaves are turning colors and falling from the trees, we see transformation in action. We see the world around us changing daily, with new rules, new limitations, and mandates. With the luminary and planetary influences, and Mars joining the fight in the sign of Scorpio, it’s time to fly high or sink to the depths of misery. Which fork in the road will you take? In the desire to control, the Scorpio energy can make us feel as if we are backed into a corner and need to come out fighting. But that isn’t the only solution.

Saturn in Aquarius squares the Sun and Moon, and Uranus, creating the familiar T-Square! And in this configuration, the outlet for answers comes from Saturn in Aquarius. Saturn in this sign brings an innate distrust of groups, and/or a cynical attitude toward society. Saturn here teaches we cannot escape our responsibilities or break all the rules to get a desired outcome. This humanitarian energy influences us to look around us and help others as well as ourselves. There are many out there that are truly in need, and when we find our part of the fix, we access our power. There are many ways to help others, and as we find ourselves transforming; we see a wave of humanity by our side, doing their part. Share. Share what you have, share what you’ve learned, and bridge this gap of fear of lack with a generous heart. With that comes freedom.

What do I suggest? A lovely journey through your chakra system, to investigate from the inside out. These hold the keys to our being, our beliefs that run us, and the guidance we all need. If you haven’t journeyed here before, there are many books, many classes to enlighten you to the “how to” of working this system. But simply put, they represent all parts of your life, your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health or lack of it. You can find the hidden secrets you’ve kept from yourself in order to live a new existence. It will be well worth your time.

My best to you all in these difficult times. Rise to the occasion and seek your best life to lead. The answers are there for the asking.

On October 20th at 7:57 AM PDT the Sun at 27 degrees Libra 26 minutes opposes the Moon at 27 degrees Aries 26 minutes. With this Full Moon moment we have some powerful planets accompanying these energies; which can provoke deeply held opinions and viewpoints to be challenged.

To begin with, we have the Full Moon asking us, “what is worth fighting for?” The sign of Aries is ruled by Mars, a warrior planet, bent on sovereignty, authority and control. It is a Fire Sign with plenty of passion and enthusiasm. And, it is a Cardinal Sign, an initiator that is willful and courageous.

Opposing this fiery Full Moon is the Libra Sun, asking us, “can’t we all just get along?” It takes the mental route, being an Air Sign, and in it’s search for fairness, justice and equality can be a source of a lot of talk and no action. But, alongside the Sun is Mars in Libra, bringing some strength and power, but still opposes the fight! It is asking us to bring diplomacy and conversation to the conflict.

But like a dragon entering the picture, Pluto T-squares the Sun and Moon, and Mars in the sign of Capricorn at 24 degrees. Yikes! The power of the opposition is released through Pluto, with a potential for achievement. Again we go back to the questions asked above and look for answers through Pluto’s eyes. This is the planet of transformation, of the Phoenix principle of crash and burn and rise out of the ashes renewed. In the sign of Capricorn it asks, “what should I let go of?” As in what can we truly affect, and where are we spinning our wheels?

This internal dialogue may escape into conversations with those relationships that need work. The need for independence, the pioneering spirit needs an outlet. While the Sun and Mars encourage us to use our words, Pluto says enough is enough! It's time to take action in one way or another, and transform this conflict into exercising our personal power. No more wimpy attitude, no more “oh whoa is me”, DO SOMETHING!

Search your heart for the conflicts that remain in your life, that you can truly reconstruct and rebuild. It may be in your relationships, those you love, those you work with, to those you deal with in legal ways. Have you spoken up, or do you live with the discord and strife? Are you blaming others and feel like a pot ready to boil over? These hostilities can drain your body, or even open you up to illness or disease.

So take the power of this Full Moon and use it to LET GO. Let go of mental confusion and take a side, let go of low self esteem and be the warrior in your life, take the high road to self betterment and work on consistent good behavior. For when we are proud of our actions, even the smallest of accomplishments, we light the way for more to come. I think part of the problem is we set the bar so high for ourselves we find it too difficult to manage. So start small, and work up from there. Take the first steps toward wellness and self respect. Build on them, keep track of them, and remind yourself that one success leads to the next.

So on this day, and those leading up to it, search your soul for the keys to your happiness. Put yourself at the top of the pyramid, the most important soul you know. You are in charge, you are designing your existence. What IS worth fighting for? You are! See the truth, take responsibility, be accountable. Pride is born on the wings of flight from that which no longer serves you. Feel the freedom coming from admitting your own shortcomings and truly working on them. We are on this planet to learn. It is a schoolhouse with many realities, many different cultures and peoples; but we all share common goals. Find your strength and make the needed changes in your life, and be the example for others to follow.
