Every year on the Scorpio Full Moon people around the world celebrate the Vesak Festival.

Vesak is one of the most important Buddhist festivals, and high holidays. It is also known as Wesak or Buddha Day. It is a celebration of Buddha's birthday and to some it marks his enlightenment. The full moon in May is said to be the day of greatest spiritual opportunity in the year. And, due to the sign it is in every year, Scorpio, we can go very deep into our emotions. This year the Full Moon lands on May 5th at 10:33 AM PDT.

And on this special occasion we have a Penumbral Lunar eclipse which begins at 8:04 A.M. PDT and ends at 1:55 P.M. PDT. A penumbral lunar eclipse takes place when the Moon moves through the outer part of Earth's shadow, the penumbra. This type of eclipse is not as dramatic as other types of lunar eclipse’s and is often mistaken for a regular Full Moon. This imperfect alignment of the Sun, Earth and Moon creates the Earth blocking some of the Sun's light from directly reaching the Moon's surface and covers all or part of the Moon with the outer part of its shadow, the penumbra. It will almost be impossible to see, but still its effect compels us to pay attention to things in our life that need to change.

This Full Moon in Scorpio shows us the results of plans made when the Moon was new in Scorpio, October 25th, 2022. At that time with the Sun and Moon in Scorpio we were looking at things that are very mysterious and deep, and somewhat taboo. Scorpio rules desire in the old school of astrology, and with desire come all the consequences. It can be a sign of extremes, when unbalanced, and great power and depth when balanced. Scorpio is a Fixed Water Sign; stubborn, persistent and emotionally driven. All fixed signs share a need for respect, and when Scorpio‘s don‘t receive it, they disappear, as if magically. They never forget, and at times never forgive. This strong sign wants to be in charge, director of operations. This sign also rules shared resources and inheritance, as well as sex and death. The power of this “lens” to see the world through can ignite your base emotions that need attention.

So depending on what was on your mind when the Moon was new, now it has culminated in today’s reality. And again, if something was begun that hasn’t seen the light of day yet, continue on. As we look at today's reality, what is still missing? We have a grand opportunity to go deep beneath the surface of our day to day life and seek the hidden meanings, the shadow of our personalities, and see what it will take to bring ourselves to our highest form. As mentioned before, this Full Moon is the one with the greatest spiritual opportunity of the year for self realization.

Gather with like minded people and celebrate this special day. There is power in numbers, so together you can push the boundaries to arrive at a new place. One of mind changing, support, and collective dreaming. We are definitely being reconstructed into a new form; Homo noeticus. A more advanced form for humanity. Join the club;)

We have some wonderful events coming; a Hybrid Solar Eclipse on April 19th, 2023 beginning at 6:37 PM, PDT; peaking at 8:16 PM and ending at 9:56 PM. Then, the following day is the second New Moon in Aries at 1:13 AM PDT.

Let’s begin with the Eclipse. This year Eclipse season began on April 8th and will culminate May 10th. We have a “Hybrid” Solar Eclipse on the 19th; a hybrid solar eclipse is a rare type of solar eclipse that changes from annular to total and vice versa along its path. This only happens about once every 10 years, and this time around it will only be visible from the southern Indian Ocean, parts of Antarctica, most of Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, most of Oceania, Southeast Asia, and the western Pacific Ocean. What is so special about an Eclipse you may ask yourself? Well, it signifies not only a spectacular event to view when possible, but much more for us as individuals. Astrologers believe an eclipse is a life-changing time to seek change and usher in evolution. These shifts do not take place all at once, though. They may start or continue on an eclipse, but their work continues throughout the period when eclipses are occurring in the same set of signs. We have been experiencing the Taurus/Scorpio axis since January 18th, 2022; bringing us to our knees regarding values and what we hold dear to our hearts. It is between physical needs and metaphysical ones. We are nearing the end of this axis, when the North Node of the Moon moves into the sign of Aries on July 12th. What have you learned?

The North Node indicates a direction to move towards that hasn’t been explored before, one that challenges our behaviors to break old cycles. In the sign of Taurus, the North Node cycle activates the parts of your chart that govern your income, values and resources. At this time you may have radically changed the way you spend, earn and invest. Surprising new career and relationship opportunities can spring up, ones that will require you to adopt an evolved new mindset about your money. While considering this the South Node in Scorpio divulges the shadow work that society must deal with together in order to evolve. So here we’ve had the opportunity to learn and grow in a physical way, manifesting and steering towards fulfillment, monetarily speaking. But what fear has blocked you if it has? We are coming to an end of these lessons, and preparing for new lessons to come. So, on this occasion, take a deep long look at these potentials and whether or not you’ve come to a place of stasis, of knowing how to operate in this physical world for best results.

The following day, April 20th at 9:12 PM PDT is the second New Moon in Aries. The Sun and Moon share the last degree of Aries, at 29 degrees 49 minutes. The last New

Moon in Aries occurred on March 21st just following the Vernal Equinox. This one is saying, “Don’t forget what you began then, let’s get it right!” We are just hours away from the Sun moving into the sign of Taurus (4/20 at 1:13 AM PDT), so with the opportunity to maximize on our double Aries vision, let’s remember some things. Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet that drives our individuality and strength of purpose. It is a Cardinal Fire Sign, one of new beginnings and power. Have you allowed yourself to recognize your own brilliance as an individual, one with a destiny all their own? If not, there’s still time;) You have a second chance to ignite your inner fire to get things accomplished. Remember when you were a young child and life seemed exciting, you had hope and aspirations without fear of ridicule? That’s available to you now, not dialing back the years, but the feeling. It’s time to access that sense of self and work through the issues that block you from knowing this truth. You know what they say about goals, you set them, you get them. So set your intention to begin again, to know the energies are working with and for you to accomplish your greatest dreams. Keep your eye on the prize; self realization. And remember, the New Moon is all about the genesis of an advancement in life to be culminated once the Moon is Full in that sign. This will occur September 29th, 2023.

So, with this double loaded occasion, let the fireworks begin! Stand tall and know your life is important, that you are someone unlike anyone else with a divine purpose. Find that purpose and act upon it.

The Moon reaches its apex at 9:34 PM, PDT. The Sun is stationed at 16 degrees Aries 7 minutes, and the Moon is at 16 degrees Libra 7 minutes. This is a special Full Moon for those who celebrate Easter, as it falls on the first Sunday following this Moon every year. Passover begins before sundown on this Full Moon as well.

The Full Moon in Libra is the culmination ofwhat began when the Moon was New in Libra; September 25th of 2022. Whether consciously or unconsciously when we set goals, dreamt up plans, or begin projects at that time, we were collectively viewing the world through the lens of “we” versus “me.” At that time the Sun and Moon were both united in Libra, degree for degree, and its influence was to be inclusive and not alone. Now with the

Sun in Aries, we are motivated to look at the axis of these two Cardinal Signs. They are both leaders; one of our own destiny (Aries) and the other of those we share our lives with (Libra). We may have been lost in the idea that we were safe, we were stronger united with others; but now we look at the result of those thoughts and actions and see where we fit in the midst of it. Have we reached our goals of unity and justice as Libra insists upon, or do we have a different mindset now?

Libra is an Air Sign. Libra wants to give everyone a voice when leading a group. Libra is active/male in its polarity, but gentle and compromising energy. This makes it hard for the Libran energy to find its leadership opportunities, as it is its nature to seek all sides and at times, take no sides. Libra is the second air sign of the zodiac, intellectual and psychological. It is a social energy, bent on the more the merrier. But Librans seek balance through isolation at times, to recharge and rethink. They are so mental and fair; at times they go around in circles trying to make a decision. This can be overcome through discipline and courage.

Libra is ruled by Venus, along with Taurus. The arts, music, harmony and beauty are very important to Librans. Venus is the planet of love and attraction, affection, and values. Due to the active/male energy governing Libra, the feminine energy brought by Venus accentuates the balance of the sign: Male/Female. Again, astrologers believe another planet will be discovered that is the true rulership of Libra. Time will tell. The symbol for Libra is the Scales of Justice. Libra energy denotes fairness, justice, and balance. It also is read as a half setting sun below the horizon, thus the first half of the year culminating and the second begun. Balance, equality, harmony and peace are necessary for a happy Libran. The highest use for this energy is to seek balance in life. To find balance in work/play, social/alone time, material and spiritual pursuits. To learn to make choices built on personal conviction rather than always trying to make someone else happy. To find their voice and work honestly toward harmony in all environments.

On this occasion Jupiter plays a role, expanding and exaggerating this energy. It is conjunct the Sun and opposes the Moon. Uniting with the Sun at 20 degrees Aries bestows abundant optimism, self-confidence, and a cheerful generosity. Your good will and friendliness can win you many allies. You also may have grand visions and aspirations, with the desire to succeed in life in a big way. With the opposition to the Moon, you’ll have a cheerful disposition and want to reach out to others in a warm, open, friendly way. Your emotional generosity and lack of pettiness will assist your circle of friends at this time, and others may seek you out for help, sympathy, or advice. You’ll be willing to overlook others' faults, and may overdo your charitableness. So, remember the key to this sign is “balance.”

Another milestone to consider at this time is Pluto moving into the sign of Aquarius. It has been in Capricorn from November 27th, 2008 to March 22nd 2023. On March 23 it entered Aquarius, and will go retrograde June 11th before returning to the sign of Aquarius January 20th, 2024. So what you say? Well, Pluto in Capricorn has been about financial, material and structural transformations. Capricorn knows of traditional hierarchies and reaching the pinnacle of the mountain. Pluto is a planet that symbolizes power and transformation. In Capricorn, Pluto asks us to see the corruption that lays at the heart of our relationship to the earth's resources. Pluto in Aquarius will bring metamorphosis through seeing the needs of society transformed through breakthroughs in medicine and healing, technology and science. “Power to the people” could be the mantra or battle cry for the next two decades. Aquarius is progressive, always looking to improve the future, and Pluto isn’t afraid of destroying what limits us and transforming it into something better. It is a time of personal responsibility rather than dependence.

There is a revolution coming; one of a new frontier in our thinking, our beliefs, those in charge, on and on. Celebrate this Libra Full Moon balancing the needs of ourselves with those of others somehow. A perfect time for a meeting of the like minded, to observe and dream a new vision within the construct of the lives we lead. The key is to stay open minded and willing to follow our vision of the future with courage and grace.
