On November 15th at 1:28 PM PST the Sun at 24 degrees Scorpio, and the Moon opposite it at 24 degrees Taurus creates the Full Moon. These are fixed signs; Scorpio fixed Water and Taurus fixed Earth. This Taurus Full Moon can be the proverbial stuck in the mud emotions, or freedom to fly higher than we have before. You see, the sign of Scorpio has two choices, either to stay earthbound like the scorpion searching in order to survive, or take to the sky as an eagle, with the higher perspective.

These two signs have much in common, from different perspectives. They both focus on financial issues, values, and possessions. They both desire comfort and security. They are both quite material in their needs. And being fixed, neither one does well with change that changes their control. So when we have a Full Moon with these energies we are being guided to look at our relationship with these topics, and see how far we’ve come since the Moon was new in Taurus; May 7th, 2024. Quite possibly you were determined to dig in and make more of your life through hard work and dedication. How did you do?

When dealing with change the fixed signs can resort to anger, fear and judgment if things aren’t going their way. And here comes Uranus, 1 degree away from the Moon, and opposite the Sun. At 25 degrees Taurus, this planet of change and awakening supports the Full Moon, strengthening its power. Change is all around us, with the changing season, elections and power shifts, promises made to improve our lives; but these are just reflections of the major changes we are experiencing on a personal level. After all we’ve been through, what are OUR VALUES? Being exposed to all sides and beliefs and fears, are you free? Or are you in a trap of someone else’s making? This is powerful energy here, not to be trifled with, so what is the best use?

The best use at this time is quite possibly to sit and write or type a list of what you wished for prior to now, and what you wish for now. The two wishes may look different, or maybe the same, but with this review you can create a new perspective for your hopes and dreams and reignite them. Reality is changing every day so create with broad strokes that won’t leave you disappointed down the road;) The Sun and the Full Moon are trine and sextile Neptune at 27 degrees Pisces. This uplifting strength of spirit gives us more imagination, sensitivity, creativity and peace.

Here to help is Saturn, going direct in Pisces the day after the Full Moon, for the rest of the year. It will steady the compass of our actions to reveal the future as we can now imagine it. Pisces is very spiritual and guides us to look at the bigger picture with a kind heart. And even more is coming to relieve the tension, when on November 19th Pluto is finished with its long transit through the sign of Capricorn, moving into the sign of Aquarius. The past 15 years for all those with cardinal placements in Capricorn, has been a time where much of their character has either matured, or foundationally recreated. Pluto has been on a shadowy trek through authoritative Capricorn; the zodiac sign associated with government, banks, big business, and father figures (i.e. patriarchs). Since 2008 this planet has focused our attention on structures set up to rule the day. The planet Pluto represents the very slow moving energies of regeneration, transformation and rebirth. Now this transit is ending, and coming is the new energy of Aquarius.

Uranus rules Aquarius, the planet of change and awakening, as well as technology, freedom and the revolutionary vision for an egalitarian future. We are on the right track, being guided by the planets and luminaries to move on to new lessons. Be at peace with this new wave of energies, make the most of yourself and your life under new conditions, and let go of fear of losing control. The truth is we never really have control, that’s not how it works here;)

On November 1st at 5:47 AM PDT the Sun and Moon align at 9 degrees Scorpio 35 minutes. Time to look at and understand what is available to us all on this occasion.

As always, the New Moon alerts us it is time to plan, to cast our wishes into the well of wisdom. These hopes and goals will manifest over time, and come to fruition when the Scorpio Moon is Full; happening May 12th, 2025. Over this period of time it will simmer like a good stew, as the season changes when hibernation is the process. To dream, to consider and create over time the goals we set now.

Scorpio is a Fixed Water sign; fixed as it is the second month of the Fall season, and fully established. This makes the Scorpio component of a personality very stubborn at times, and unwilling to budge. All fixed signs share a need for respect, and when Scorpio‘s don‘t receive it,

they disappear, as if magically. They never forget, and at times never forgive. The Water element is all about emotions, and this one is especially heavy in that department. Scorpio is a powerful sign, very mysterious and deep, and somewhat taboo. Scorpio rules desire in the old school of astrology, and with desire come all the consequences. It can be a sign of extremes when unbalanced, and great power and depth when balanced.

So just how do we work with these energies in setting up our plans? We go deep. We look into our own shadow self, the part of us that is sometimes unwilling to change. It is a time to be very honest, and requires an open mind and heart to see the truth. This sign strengthens our intuition, being of the Water element, but can tend to go dark. Blaming others and not taking responsibility for our actions; that kind of dark. Going to extremes with impatience, negative feelings, and sexual fantasies. It’s time to clean up the mess and head for the light.

On this New Moon the Sun and Moon are trine Saturn in Pisces. Saturn is the teacher through difficult lessons, and in Pisces leads us with a soft heart. It leads us to see things spiritually where your dreams of what is to be are flowing and easier to reach. You may find yourself taking on the pains or pleasures of others as their lives intertwine with your own. You will feel a practical idealism that you can manifest in the months to come.

At this time there is a Grand Water Trine between Mercury in Scorpio, Mars in Cancer, and Neptune in Pisces. Even more sensitivity with the help of these Water signs. This creates a harmonious flow of energy between what we think, the actions we take, and the deeper consequences of our souls’ decisions. We have the opportunity to reach our goals through prayer, communion with Great Spirit, and to align ourselves with the greater good.

While all of this harmonizing energy is present, we also have a Mutable T-Square between Venus in Sagittarius, opposing Jupiter in Gemini, and both squaring Saturn in Pisces. A T-square forms tension because every planet wants to do things their own way, especially the planets in opposition. Mutable T-squares don't know WHICH way to go, so we look to the planet Saturn for answers. Saturn in Pisces tells us to stop thinking, and start feeling. The Golden Rule applies here, and with all that is going on in our country and world, it is time to consider living a sacred life. One of love, helping each other, and setting our course for success through balancing the material with the spiritual. Take a moment to meditate on these astrological musings and see how you can better your life through the choices you make now for your future!

On October 17th at 4:26 AM PDT the Sun opposes the Moon at 24 degrees Libra. The Moon is stationed at 24 degrees Aries, the Cardinal Fire sign that is bold and courageous. We have an opportunity to review just what we were “seeding” at the time of the New Moon in Aries, back on April 8th of this year.

When the New Moon arrives, we seek to work with the energies of the sign it is in to lay out our plans for creation. In the sign of Aries, we are fired up to set goals for ourselves and have the mental or moral strength to resist opposition, danger, or hardship. Many at this time are inspired with the arrival of Spring, and find the motivation to step out of the shadows and get busy. With Mars as its rulership, standing up for yourself was a common theme at that time. Wishing to improve life by taking on more, believing you

are worthy of the challenge, was available to your psyche without fear. So just what did you hope to achieve?

Libra, the sign the Sun is in is about balance in life. It is a Cardinal Air sign, very intellectual and psychological. It is concerned with how you work with others, how you behave when you’re not alone. On the other hand, Aries, the Cardinal Fire sign is most concerned with the self. When the Moon is full, it exaggerates these energies in order to find what is working in this axis, and what is not. Are you being too self concerned, or eaving yourself behind in your caring?

With this Full Moon these luminaries are part of a Cardinal Grand Cross. In astrology, a Grand Cross is said to occur when four planets are all separated from each other by a square (90 degrees apart). A Grand Cross can also be viewed as two oppositions (180 degrees apart) separated from each other by a square. In a Grand Cross, there is one planet in each astrological element but all the planets are in signs of the same modality or quality. The planets involved are Mars in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn; all Cardinal signs. These signs are the initiators of the zodiac, beginning seasons.

The Grand Cross is seen as a source of extreme tension whereby various aspects of the personality (represented by the planets) are working at cross purposes that serve to nullify each other. The difficulty with a Cardinal Grand Cross is it drives us to want to accomplish ALL THINGS AT ONCE. As a result, this can cause problems in retaining the concentration needed to accomplish tasks, so let’s look at the pieces of this puzzle to see how to work with these energies.

The Sun in Libra asks us to recite the adage, one for all and all for one. To balance our needs with the needs of others. Ruled by Venus, money, values and sharing knowledge are top priorities. The Full Moon in Aries seeks leadership within their individual goals, and has the strength and power to push ahead of the crowd. Mars rules this sign of action, conflict and assertiveness. The planet Mars is in the sign of Cancer and brings compassion into question with this Grand Cross. Cancer is the sign of the home and family, and is a tough defender of all that they love; people, flora and fauna, and our Earth. And Pluto in Capricorn wants transformation in your professional world and the ways you exercise power within them. No problem, right?!

The Grand Cross can be seen as a pinwheel, as it picks up energy and speed from the elements like a strong wind. Movement is paramount, so as mentioned let’s put it to work, or it will work on us like a tornado and spin our focus out of control. Begin by imagining or creating a focus on yourself seated in the middle of a circle. This is a “Medicine Wheel”, with the 4 directions set up like a compass. In this wheel imagine the Sun in Libra at where 6:00 is on a clock face. Pluto in Capricorn is at the 9:00 position. The Full Moon in Aries is at the 12:00 position. And Mars in Cancer is at the 3:00 position. Close your eyes and feel the movement surrounding you, lifting your spirit to act on this. Like picking flowers, you begin with Libra, gathering personal power to assist ALL THAT IS. Turn your gaze to Pluto and commit to transforming yourself into a warrior of change in your pursuit of becoming all you came to be in this life, picking flowers and putting them in your basket. Then look to the Full Moon in Aries for the courage and dedication to see yourself as part of the whole yet an individual with purpose. Pick the Moonflowers and put them in your basket. And lastly, look to Mars in Cancer, and promise you will open your heart and soul to caring for our planet in your highest goal to be of service. Pick the flowers to create a beautiful bouquet to remind you of your goals. See yourself holding these up to the sky, like the Statue of Liberty. Give thanks to Great Spirit for all the majesty of life and the possibilities we have before us. May we all be inspired to do the work that lies ahead to continue to make our world a better place for all life.
