On July 21st at 3:17 AM PDT the Sun and Moon oppose each other on their last degree of the Cancer/Capricorn axis. This rare occasion of two Full Moons in the same month and sign is a grand opportunity for all of us. On the first Full Moon of July we had a T-Square from Neptune, challenging us to see clearly what we wished to accomplish when the Moon was New in Capricorn on January 11th of this year. Were you confronted with your own behavior; whether your commitment kept you on target or Neptune's influence clouded your journey? Escapism is common here.

But this time the Sun and Moon have different lessons for us. The planet Mars at 0 degrees Gemini sextiles the Sun and trines the Moon. The aspect to the Sun will endow us with positive, vital, energetic, active energy. You will enjoy competition, and your initiative and self-confidence can make you a winner. The trine to the Moon gives us emotional permission to be assertive and confront difficulties in a direct, no-nonsense sort of way. You won’t tolerate self-pity or passivity, and you can be rather blunt with others' emotional problems. Part of you may want to say "stop crying and DO something about it.” A very different directive from the first Full Moon.

The Sun has a sextile from Uranus at 26 degrees Taurus, and the Moon is trine Uranus. The Sun’s aspect encourages you to not allow tradition, convention, or other people's expectations dictate how you are going to live your life. You’ll crave freedom, adventure, excitement, and discovery, and won’t be afraid of change. The aspect to the Moon gives you uninhibited and spontaneous consent to do something unexpected or humorous in order to loosen people up and get them out of their rut. You will crave emotional stimulation, excitement, surprises, and anything new.

Next is Neptune at 29 degrees Pisces, which now trines the Sun and sextiles the Moon. The trine gives your imagination a lift, where you are sensitive to anything colorful, beautiful, or magical. You’ll be attracted to artistic and creative pursuits, music, and mysticism. Your spiritual values will color your whole perspective and approach to life. And the sextile to the Moon will enlist the desire to bring beauty and harmony into your domestic life. Your sensitivity requires an atmosphere of peace, free of discord or dissonance. You will give or sacrifice much in order to avoid a fight and to "make everyone happy".

And last but not least is Pluto at 0 degrees Aquarius, which opposes the Sun and conjoins the Moon. Pluto is the planet of destruction

and reconstruction. When it opposes the Sun it makes for a willful, impassioned and sometimes fanatical feelings about your personal motives and desires. You have a need for power and recognition now, and the desire to be Somebody. Pluto says in order to accomplish your goals you may need a bit of transformation of who you thought you were to who you want to be. And Pluto conjunct the Moon is very intense; like a volcano, one minute you’ll seem quite peaceful and the next you are exploding with great force and unexpected fury. The intensity of your reactions may surprise even you. Your feelings and desires can be so compelling that you’ll do things against your better judgment and reason. You can also be very manipulative now, in a subtle way, affecting your personal relationships.

So where a Full Moon can alert us to our success or lack of it, in the Cancer/Capricorn axis we are reminded that 'content' and 'container' are like yin and yang; they constitute each other. The soft substance of the Cancer quality, emotional, sensitive, and vulnerable— needs the solid, structured, and objective qualities of Capricorn to contain it. We grow stronger when we have both in balance. So in order to use this second Full Moon opportunity we have the support of the planets mentioned here to finalize our attempts to see clearly how we can improve our self esteem by doing what we say whether it comes out of our minds and hearts compassionately or in an impassioned release of pent up energy. It’s really time for the truth to be told and the next versions of ourselves to be born. Be brave and honest and work through the consequences of your actions.

On July 5th at 3:57 PM PDT the Sun and Moon align at 14 degrees Cancer 23 minutes. This New Moon has the potential to affect our emotions in a powerful way, and here’s how.

This Cardinal Water sign represents Mother; the creator who gives birth and provides sustinence to the creation, whether it be human, animal, plant, or otherwise. She is ruled by the Moon who lights the way through otherwise dark passages. The Water element describes her fluidity, the ability to hold or fill empty space with compassion and love.

As the Summer season has begun, this sign heralds the blessings we receive at this time of year. And now with the New Moon it’s planning time! In order to work in harmony with the energies our plans can center around improving our home or planning a move, making peace with relationships with family and the women in our lives, nurturing ourselves and others with healthy cooking, growing flowers and fruits/vegetables; all things we can be proud of. This sign is a deep dive into the subconscious that can reveal memories that enhance your daily life. Take the time to walk down memory lane with those you love now as it surely will put a smile on your faces:)

On this New Moon, the planet Mars sextiles the Sun and Moon at 19 degrees Taurus. This is a fortunate aspect and brings more energy from Mars to embellish, beautify your surroundings so they truly reflect you. It also lends determination and dedication to any project. The Sun and Moon also have a trine from Saturn at 19 degrees Pisces. Saturn in this aspect helps us to set goals for ourselves that are modest enough to actually achieve. You will have a strong sense of responsibility and be very conscientious in fulfilling your obligations.

You’ll have an inner poise and balance that enables you to act in a cool, efficient manner during emotional traumas and stress. You can better keep your perspective and objectivity about highly charged emotional issues now. You are quietly supportive and faithful to your friends and loved ones at this time.

So with all this productive energy it sounds like a successful recipe for more security and peace in your life. That is if you’re looking to improve your domestic existence, and who isn’t? These goal setting times are important, as they set up our next awareness of just how to bring about what we wish for. Always ask for guidance from within and pace yourself in order to achieve your highest dreams. Some of my fondest memories are about working hard to improve my home with whatever I could afford and standing back to admire a job well done. It’s time to make yourself proud and recreate.

On June 21st at 6:06 PM PDT the Moon is Full at 1 degree Capricorn 7 minutes. This occurs the day after the Summer Solstice. The Sun is stationed at 1 degree Cancer 7 minutes opposite the Moon. A Full Moon always happens when the Sun and Moon oppose each other exactly.

And with every Full Moon, we look at when the Moon was new in the same sign and what we were hoping to achieve. The New Moon is the time to design your future hopes, wishes and goals that pertain to the sign. The Moon was new on January 11th of this year, and was a time to look at your career, ambitions and reputation, if working with that sign. Capricorn, at its core, represents your life’s work. This may or may not have anything to do with your actual job. Your life’s work may be your hobby, child, garden, or meditation practice. Capricorn is all about climbing the mountain of success, slow but sure.

It is a Cardinal Earth sign; Cardinal as it is the first month of Winter, and the Earth element keeps them grounded and focused on the “prize.” With hard work and dedication, Capricorns achieve what they set out to do. So just what were you hoping for, or wishing to manifest when the Moon was new in this sign? The Full Moon is one of the culmination and whether or not you achieved what you set your sights on. It’s a reminder of how far you’ve come, or haven’t.

On this occasion, the Sun and Moon both square Neptune, creating a T-Square. Neptune is stationed at 29 degrees Pisces 54 minutes. You may say, but Pisces doesn’t square Cancer and Capricorn (Sun and Moon signs), but when it is 1 degree away from Aries, we “round up” as astrologers to the next sign. Neptune in the last degree of Pisces, the sign it rules, is still active. When we talk about a T-Square, it involves 2 luminaries or planets that oppose each other, and the third one is squared by both. We look to the third planet for insights on how to relieve the tension naturally built up in the opposition. The focal planet Neptune is known here as the apex.

So we look to Neptune to help us, to guide us to the best action to take at this time. The word that comes to mind is KINDNESS. If we all open our hearts and minds to the fact that we are here together, all with the potential to improve our lives if we set our goals correctly. By this I mean using the Golden Rule to guide our decisions and choices. Neptune in Pisces is so empathetic and caring. It is feminine and passive energy. Neptune shows the fork in the road between the low road and the high road. The low road is cloudy, confused, escaping reality. The high road brings spiritual wisdom, creativity and compassion. It urges us to take the high road at this time, and balance the energies with love.

The cool thing this year is we have two Full Moons in Capricorn, one at the first degree on June 21st and the second happening at 29º Capricorn on July 21! This is a rare occurrence, giving us all the opportunity to really drive home what it is we are here for and how to make it really great! Don’t let this one pass you by, as we all could use a bit of help to gain the clarity of our purpose in our lives. Our awareness of who we are and how best to reach the summit of our goals is upon us. Use this opportunity to really improve and move forward in life.

I suggest you get outside on this Full Moon, and take a long walk. Look around you at how life is so full in nature, and how it reflects back to us how full our lives can be! Enjoy this lunation cycle with the hope to become all you can be in this life. It is up to you:)
