On December 15th at 1:01 AM PST we have our last Full Moon of 2024, in the sign of Gemini. With this mental Moon ruled by Mercury,  the messenger, it’s time to release what no longer serves you in this life. This Moon will give you plenty of imaginative ways to clean up whatever mess you created in 2024, whether it’s mental, emotional, physical or even spiritual:)

Throughout this year you may have jumped to conclusions that kept you from opening your heart to others. Or due to an over emotional moment you may have reacted hastily, creating a rift between you and another. How about not taking good enough care of yourself resulting in illness or worse? Or leaving behind your spiritual understanding of life and behaving as if we aren’t all in this together?

Well, suffer no more, it’s time to change. These two signs, Sagittarius and Gemini, are both Mutable signs; the signs that are most flexible in the zodiac. Back on June 6th of this year when we had a New Moon in Gemini, were you full of ideas, plans and passions about what you could accomplish? Or, with all that Gemini energy and the “Twins” in charge, did you find it difficult to settle on a course of action? The sign of writing, communication, and social skills gets very chatty and loves sharing ideas when the Moon is in this sign. So now, how have your plans manifested?

Gemini is the first Air Sign of the Solar Year, and represented by the glyph of the Twins. Dual in nature, this sign can see both sides of a situation clearly, with the help of their detached emotions. We have an opportunity here to open our minds to see all sides of situations unfolding before us, whether they are personal or affecting all of us. If we step away from our “feelings” and walk toward truth, we can observe the behaviors that both sides of a situation can provoke, and search for the middle ground. With an open mind, we can see how life has provided us with an example of separation. It doesn’t feel good does it? So why adhere to what you’ve been told?

On this occasion, the Sun and Moon are opposite each other, and square both of them is Neptune in Pisces. This planet is the way to proceed with this otherwise difficult aspect, the T-Square. The Sun square Neptune makes us extremely sensitive and imaginative, where you can get lost in your dreams, fantasies, and visions. You’ll be attracted to artistic and creative pursuits, the world of color, beauty, and emotion. You’ll also be drawn to mysticism and have deep spiritual aspirations and yearnings. This will help us to stay out of judgment and disconnecting with our fellow humans. The Moon square Neptune makes you a dreamer, attracted to the inner, mystical side of life. You may have trouble distinguishing the real from the imagined or illusory. When confrontation with others occur, you can become very evasive when problems in your personal life arises; escaping into your imagination in order to avoid dealing with them directly.

But Neptune, being the planet of spirituality and oneness can assist without leading you astray, by focusing on the bigger picture, as the Sun in Sagittarius suggests. Step back from emotional conclusions and open your heart and mind to allow yourself to see all sides, take no sides, and plow a new field with seeds that will sprout beautifully. Shame is the byproduct of separation, so why go there? If you see yourself as a part of the whole, with skills and talents that have yet been explored, Neptune can partner with you on your mission. We are born to learn, and experience a life full of creativity, however you deliver it to the world. Time to think outside the box and elevate your plans for your future. No matter where you have landed in your attempts to manifest, be willing to rethink your approach in order to succeed. The way to do that is without limitation, without taking sides, but opening yourself to a world of possibilities you may not have considered before.

On November 30th at 10:21 PM PST the Moon joins the Sun at 9 degrees Sagittarius 33 minutes. It is a time of harmony, of independence and hope. We have all experienced the shadow of Scorpio reminding us to look at our own foibles and hidden agendas, and now it is time for a change of perspective.

Sagittarius is a Mutable Fire Sign. It is the last month of Autumn, with hints of Winter on its way. Mutable signs are by nature flexible and adaptable, and able to change when necessary to transition to what is to come. Fire signs exhibit high energy, passion, courage, creativity and adventure. Time for change that invites new ways to perceive reality. A less emotional outlook, one of hope and enthusiasm.

This creative Fire sign brings us all a new outlook, thanks to Jupiter, its ruler. Our largest planet is a “benefic” one, associated with the principles of growth, expansion, adventures, healing, prosperity, good fortune, and miracles. Jupiter governs long distance and foreign travel, big business and wealth, higher education, religion, and law. It helps us to see the big picture, versus a limited vision of what is to be. We can dream the big dream and actualize it!

Traditionally on a New Moon we are planning, dreaming up the next step in our lives. Now we are looking at our personal possibilities and what they can bring us. No longer stirred by the dramas in our election cycles and outcomes, the state of the world is still at a very vulnerable time. We can see where our lives are headed within the constructs of what is coming. To me it seems we are headed toward more compassionate and caring outcomes; like kids learning how to get along on the playground;)

On this occasion the Sun and Moon, joined by Mercury in Sagittarius at 20 degrees, make a wide opposition to Jupiter at 17 degrees Gemini, and a square to Saturn at 12 degrees Pisces. This creates a T-Square, with Saturn showing the way to proceed. When these luminaries oppose Jupiter, the rush of what’s possible becomes a flash of opportunities you might invest yourself in, but Saturn reminds you not to exaggerate, to promise more than is possible, and/or to misjudge through over-optimism. Mercury brings an abundance of ideas, interests, and plans for the future, making it difficult to focus on any particular area. But the square to Saturn bestows an aptitude for solving difficult mental problems due to a careful, methodical approach, attention to detail, and tenacity in following a matter through to its conclusion.

These planets and luminaries are setting us all up for a reboot, a new horizon to shoot for. Humanity is moving toward awakening on a mass level, and if we do our part by believing we are worthy enough to aim higher, in every way, we are working towards that becoming our reality. We must focus on the Golden Rule, and live by it.

The Sun and Moon trine Mars at 5 degrees Leo. This vital energy isn’t afraid of competition or taking risks, as it is positive with initiative and self confidence.

Emotions don’t get in the way of taking action. Now is the time to make lofty predictions of what can be achieved with your dedication and follow through. Knowing this is the time in the Moon’s cycle to plant the seed of what is to come when the Moon is Full in Sagittarius, on June 11th of 2025. Choose your goal and set it free like a comet in the night sky, to blaze away with the fire of creation.

On November 15th at 1:28 PM PST the Sun at 24 degrees Scorpio, and the Moon opposite it at 24 degrees Taurus creates the Full Moon. These are fixed signs; Scorpio fixed Water and Taurus fixed Earth. This Taurus Full Moon can be the proverbial stuck in the mud emotions, or freedom to fly higher than we have before. You see, the sign of Scorpio has two choices, either to stay earthbound like the scorpion searching in order to survive, or take to the sky as an eagle, with the higher perspective.

These two signs have much in common, from different perspectives. They both focus on financial issues, values, and possessions. They both desire comfort and security. They are both quite material in their needs. And being fixed, neither one does well with change that changes their control. So when we have a Full Moon with these energies we are being guided to look at our relationship with these topics, and see how far we’ve come since the Moon was new in Taurus; May 7th, 2024. Quite possibly you were determined to dig in and make more of your life through hard work and dedication. How did you do?

When dealing with change the fixed signs can resort to anger, fear and judgment if things aren’t going their way. And here comes Uranus, 1 degree away from the Moon, and opposite the Sun. At 25 degrees Taurus, this planet of change and awakening supports the Full Moon, strengthening its power. Change is all around us, with the changing season, elections and power shifts, promises made to improve our lives; but these are just reflections of the major changes we are experiencing on a personal level. After all we’ve been through, what are OUR VALUES? Being exposed to all sides and beliefs and fears, are you free? Or are you in a trap of someone else’s making? This is powerful energy here, not to be trifled with, so what is the best use?

The best use at this time is quite possibly to sit and write or type a list of what you wished for prior to now, and what you wish for now. The two wishes may look different, or maybe the same, but with this review you can create a new perspective for your hopes and dreams and reignite them. Reality is changing every day so create with broad strokes that won’t leave you disappointed down the road;) The Sun and the Full Moon are trine and sextile Neptune at 27 degrees Pisces. This uplifting strength of spirit gives us more imagination, sensitivity, creativity and peace.

Here to help is Saturn, going direct in Pisces the day after the Full Moon, for the rest of the year. It will steady the compass of our actions to reveal the future as we can now imagine it. Pisces is very spiritual and guides us to look at the bigger picture with a kind heart. And even more is coming to relieve the tension, when on November 19th Pluto is finished with its long transit through the sign of Capricorn, moving into the sign of Aquarius. The past 15 years for all those with cardinal placements in Capricorn, has been a time where much of their character has either matured, or foundationally recreated. Pluto has been on a shadowy trek through authoritative Capricorn; the zodiac sign associated with government, banks, big business, and father figures (i.e. patriarchs). Since 2008 this planet has focused our attention on structures set up to rule the day. The planet Pluto represents the very slow moving energies of regeneration, transformation and rebirth. Now this transit is ending, and coming is the new energy of Aquarius.

Uranus rules Aquarius, the planet of change and awakening, as well as technology, freedom and the revolutionary vision for an egalitarian future. We are on the right track, being guided by the planets and luminaries to move on to new lessons. Be at peace with this new wave of energies, make the most of yourself and your life under new conditions, and let go of fear of losing control. The truth is we never really have control, that’s not how it works here;)
