On March 18th at 6:23 PM PDT the Sun and Moon align at 28 degrees Pisces 27 minutes, bringing us the New Moon. This is the last sign of the Solar Year, and with it can come the endings and transformation of what’s been carried like a burden. This Mutable Water sign will point the way.
The New Moon is always our opportunity for new beginnings and setting new intentions. This one in particular rings a resounding bell that you have arrived, if you have prepared your path to the top of the mountain. This is the sign of empathy, intuition, creativity and spirituality. This is when the veil between here and there thin, revealing the truth behind the shadows. When we bring in the light, we can see reality much clearer.
There has been much buildup to this time, with the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo March 3rd. At that time we took a closer look at our balance between our positive/negative selves, our linear mind and our creative mind, and whether or not we explored each equally in this lifetime. Now with the emphasis on Pisces, cleaning out the cobwebs of our minds and the burdens we carry, we see light at the end of the tunnel. We realize we are Spirit manifest in a body, here to share our personal spark with the world. No longer a mouse on a treadmill, going through the motions, we find ourselves in the sea of creation, ready to change into our higher form. Pisces is a Mutable sign, meaning the last of the season; adaptable and flexible. The Water element is fluid, and flows from one direction to another effortlessly. The key is to let go.
Whatever fear or limitation you still have in your way can be released now, they are no longer connected to your energy if you simply step away consciously. The motto, “that was then, this is now” can be your cry. You no longer need to serve the liar within that tells you there is no hope for change. Once you no longer give power to the lie that you are alone, your soul can fill with the love the universe has to offer.
On this occasion, these luminaries are aspected by Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Saturn and Neptune were transiting in the sign of Pisces, moving forward and retrograde for years. In this sign the work of endings was the task, clearing the way for these planets to move into Aries on February 20th of this year. While in Pisces they brought us deeper into our spirituality and gave the world a wake up call. Now, just degrees away from our New Moon, they conjoin these luminaries and power them up! This is a reset moment, where the power of Aries cuts through the emotional debris and leads to bringing spiritual ideals into concrete manifestation. It forces a radical restructuring of reality, requiring us to ground our dreams into tangible, responsible action while redefining our personal will.
Uranus at 28 degrees Taurus sextile the Sun and Moon. You may find sudden, inspired solutions to long-standing stubborn problems by blending logical, earthy adjustments with imaginative, fluid approaches. This planet offers us a new way of seeing, free from the concern that change means defeat. It means freedom in the most wonderful way.
Mercury is retrograde, stationed at 8 degrees Pisces, and is conjunct the North Node at 8 degrees Pisces. While Mercury rules the mind, communications and what we think about, the North Node represents our mission. While Mercury is retrograde, we have time to rethink, renegotiate our beliefs before it goes direct on the Vernal Equinox. So now is the time to go down the list of the past, gather the wisdom it was there to show us, and graduate to our new reality; FREEDOM.
Have courage, move forward, and know you are not alone. We are surrounded by loving energies; embrace them.
