New Moon in Leo 2025

On July 24th at 12:11 PM PDT the Sun and Moon align at 2 degrees Leo 8 minutes. Now is the time to cast your wishes for what you want to manifest on this portent moment.

Leo is a Fixed Fire sign. Fixed as it is the second month of Summer, sure and steady. The Fire element rules this sign with power and dominion. Leo is ruled by the Sun, the source of energy that serves us all in our planetary system. That is the demeanor of a Leo, the center and source of their environment. With this seat comes the entitlement of authority and kingly duties. With the misuse of this seat comes abuse of power and authority. The Lion is Leo‘s symbol. The lion and the lioness are very similar to the king and queen of the savanna. They hold court with their pride; they rule fiercely and protect theirs until their death. Leo energy inspires respect and admiration. This sign in the zodiac rules love and passion, natural leadership, and being in the spotlight. It is such a creative sign, very artistic, musical, and they love to dance and celebrate. It is the sign of the actor/actress and performers on life's stage.

This year these luminaries have 4 aspects from Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.The Sun and Moon are trine Saturn at 1 degree Aries. Saturn is the taskmaster, the disciplinarian. When Saturn is in Aries, we are learning where disciplined action and long-term focus are needed in Aries-ruled areas like confidence, fearlessness, and new beginnings. Saturn entered the sign of Aries on May 24, 2025, and will remain there until September 1, 2025. It then retrogrades back into Pisces before re-entering Aries on February 14, 2026, and staying until April 12, 2028. We will be challenged to balance Aries's impulsive, fiery energy with Saturn's structure and responsibility. It's a time to harness passion and drive, but also to develop a more mature approach to conflict and self-expression. This trine between the Sun and Saturn encourages us to be practical, to set goals that are modest enough to actually achieve. It will then retrograde back into Pisces before returning to Aries on January 26, 2026, and staying until March 2039. Neptune is the planet of dreams, visions, and dissolving the here and now into something more beautiful. When in the sign of Aries, fear leaves the playing field, allowing us to assert ourselves in the most conscious way. This pairing invites a redefinition of self, where the self remembers its individual desires, preferences, and direction as sacred, guided, and on purpose. And lastly, these luminaries are opposite Pluto at 2 degrees Aquarius. Pluto is the transformer, and will transit in this sign until March 8, 2043. The transformation will come through humanity and our role in it. Pluto entering Aquarius signifies a period of profound societal transformation, highlighting collective consciousness, technological advancement, and a reevaluation of power structures. When Pluto opposes the Sun, it inspires an infatuation with power and an almost compulsive desire for personal recognition; the desire to be Somebody. The key is to align your energies with others to magnify your efforts, while everyone gets acknowledged.
