On October 28th at 1:24 PM PDT we have the Full Moon in Taurus Lunar Eclipse! This concludes the eclipse season that began 11/19/2021. It has been a rocky two years of realizations and deep transformation.
What’s a Lunar Eclipse? A lunar eclipse is an event that occurs when the Earth comes right between the Sun and the Moon, casting its shadow on the Moon. It dredges up emotional debris that needs neutralizing in a certain theme of life. With the Taurus/Scorpio axis, it has to do with finances, values, comfort and pleasures. Much has been brought to our attention in these areas, and we have all been through the rock tumbler of life in regards to becoming most efficient in these areas of our life. We’ve been meant to rethink what is most important to us and to decide once and for all how to best navigate our own values.
As always, the Full Moon is the culmination of goals, wishes and dreams cast on the New Moon, this one in Taurus back on May 19th of this year. With the Sun and Moon in that sign we were concerned with our comfort level due to our income, and whether or not it fit our vision of where we want to be. It was Spring with all the hopes for growth and planting seeds for the future. Does your current life demonstrate what you were hoping for, or are you still denying your value to this world. I know that sounds harsh, but to long for something and not make any progress is flat out depressing. Now we have a special event to shake things up a bit here, to bring an “aha” moment to your world view or beliefs about what is your self worth.
On this occasion the players are:
Sun in Scorpio along with Mercury and Mars opposite the Moon in Taurus along with Jupiter. This grand opposition can have a profound impact for growth. The Sun alone in Scorpio makes one quiet, deep, emotionally complex and intensely private. Your feelings and perceptions go deeper than words. Now add to this Mercury in Scorpio, the planet of the mind; you’ll have good mental concentration and the ability to become completely immersed in your work. You’ll seem to know things at an
instinctive, nonverbal level. Bring in Mars in Scorpio you’ll be extremelyorder to pursue your goals and desires strong-willed in passionate dedication and determination.
Now when this collection opposes the Moon in Taurus, we are possibly at cross purposes between our conscious intentions and our desires. Mercury here is concerned with people and their motives, and the past. Mars can inspire impatience and irritability leading to arguments. And with Jupiter alongside the Moon there is a great possibility of exaggeration, over extending oneself and promising more than you can deliver. There is a restless, discontented feeling driving this possibility. Mercury opposite Jupiter in this sign can see the whole picture, but may gloss over the working parts of the process. Mars brings a willingness to take risks due to frustrations in limitation. The wisdom to walk away with here is to know who you are, what is your honest appraisement of your values, and what can you do to improve them. Having clarity is the remedy, to know what is possible and to do everything you can do to usher it in. Making excuses now is counter productive, citing the woes of the world and how it makes you feel is also. Step out of the shadows on this stellar event, and be all that you can be.
