On April 1st at 7:12 PM PDT the Moon is Full in Libra. The Sun is stationed at 12 degrees Aries 21 minutes, and the Moon opposes it at 12 degrees Libra 21 minutes. This is our first Full Moon of Spring, and with it comes the beauty of the season.
This Full Moon is ruled by the planet Venus, the Goddess of love and beauty, and the creative force. The Sun in Aries is ruled by Mars, the God of war, military and the destructive force. This moment of the Sun/Moon opposition brings up the balance within our own souls. Aries is the sign of the “self” while Libra includes “others.” The Yin and Yang teach us there are lessons in opposites, driving constant change and balance.
On each Full Moon we look to when the Moon was New, to see what we were wishing for, working towards in order to seek harmony with others. It happened on October 21, 2025. Being a Cardinal Air sign, the mental wheels were spinning in our heads, directing action and creation. This is a leader sign, but tends to be “one for all and all for one” in their behavior. The Air element brings a curiosity leading to wisdom in whatever field, usually artistic or musical, that they participate in. Well, how far have you come? Again, Libra is the sign of balance, justice, and fairness. Now is the time to look at your own balance, to see where you have succeeded in your quest to stabilize your own sovereignty while joining in with others for the greatest accomplishments that take more than one.
On this occasion the Sun and Moon opposition forms a T-Square to Jupiter at 15 degrees Cancer. A T Square is just what it looks like, and the planet at the bottom of the T is Jupiter. It is said to “act like a pressure cooker driving intense motivation, ambition, and potential for achievement, while causing inner friction and personal growth through navigating conflict.” This is the focal planet that strikes the tone for harmony, once navigating these difficult aspects. Jupiter in Cancer wants to make others feel accepted and comfortable, breaking down feelings of alienation to make others feel included and a part of group activities. While the Sun and Moon struggle with what is mine is yours, this planet encourages us to share, yet keep enough time for ourselves to satisfy our needs. When Jupiter squares the Sun we tend to exaggerate, to promise more than is possible, and to misjudge through over-optimism. When it squares the Moon this aspect often drives people to seek growth through emotional experiences, though it can lead to over commitment, restlessness, or unrealistic optimism. Thank you Jupiter for leveling the playing field with a desire to nurture and calm the waters.
The Full Moon opposes Saturn at 5 degrees Aries, conjunct the Sun. This makes for a very sensitive, reserved and cautious attitude. Saturn is like Grandfather, set in his ways and knows what’s best. Emotionally speaking, when the Patriarch serves up guidance that may be difficult, it is always for our own good. Father Time here is asking us to be mature, serious, and self-disciplined and to take care of our responsibilities. It’s not a time for procrastinating, do the work and make your life more rewarding. The energies are encouraging us all to take a stand for what’s right for us, and for others. Do your part to serve humanity while loving and caring for yourself:)
