On July 3rd at 4:39 AM PDT the Moon is full in the sign of Capricorn. The Sun is at 11 degrees Cancer 19 minutes, and the Moon is stationed at 11 degrees Capricorn 19 minutes. As with every Full Moon, this is the culmination of all things hoped for, wished for and worked on when the Moon was new, back on December 23rd, 2022. During the holiday season we are all consumed with giving to others, gifting them what we think will be of service to them, from a new pair of socks to something they always wanted. But, someone had to provide the means of these gifts, and that is what Capricorn is all about.

This sign is about responsibility and being grounded in the world. It rules our career choices, our reputation and the 10th house of the zodiac. This house describes how we put ourselves into the world, and what we do for our “work.” At the time of the New Moon, the Sun shares the same degree giving us the full spectrum of how we shine (Sun) and how we feel about it (Moon). There is no better time to face the music of our lives and decide if we are on the right path. This no nonsense sign wishes to climb the heights, slow but sure, to reach the top of the mountain of our goals. This is illustrated by the glyph representing this sign; the SeaGoat. Able to reach the depths of the sea to find the hidden pearl, and to climb seemingly unreachable goals up the mountain trail. There is a dedication to follow those goals, and now with the Full Moon we can observe how far we’ve come.

The Full Moon always shows us opposites, with the Sun and Moon seemingly in conflict. Here the Sun is in a Water Sign, full of compassion and willing to sacrifice, while the Moon is in an Earth Sign, dug in and determined. When we look at our current situation in life, these signs can show us where we fall short, or have grasped the idea of this axis being necessary to our well being. Capricorn can be aloof, almost cold in its emotional response, while Cancer is all about feelings. It is time to strike a balance when it comes to caring and daring.

We have come to this incarnation to learn and grow, to add to our personality, and our soul that which we haven’t fully experienced. We may look at what keeps us from living life fully, and blame others for our shortcomings. But the truth is we chose this “blueprint” also known as our Natal Chart, with all the potentials. At this time we can see clearly what we chose and why, due to these signs and energies. Ultimately, we chose to learn about love; love of self and love of others. Can we love ourselves as we are or is there more to learn? Heck yeah, there’s more to learn so don’t give up! We are divine beings, learning how to be closer to those we admire for their strength of purpose and those that share unconditionally. We are, after all ALL THAT IS, a drop in the pool of Great Spirit, here to shine in our own right. A member of humanity, yet an individual. The Sun reminds us in its energy how to shine best in this current lifetime, and this Full Moon shows us the way to get there. One sure footed step to the next.

On this occasion the planet Mercury is conjunct the Sun, and opposite the Moon. With the Sun's help, you’ll tend to see things from your perspective only and to be rather subjective. You will also enjoy talking and expressing your views but you won't always listen as well. You will have a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and need constant mental stimulation and activity. The Moon presents the need for the personal, human element to evoke your interest. Your interest is in people and their inner motivations, feelings, personal lives, and experiences. You’ll be a natural listener with a talent for getting others to talk about their lives, dreams, desires - the things that are personally meaningful to them. So the balance here is sharing information with each other while listening to others, yet focusing on your own life and well being. We have all of the answers inside of us, it’s simply opening that door to the infinite part of us, and listening and acting on the wisdom shared with us. Be brave and go to the wellspring of your soul. The door will open and behind it is the glory that is you.

This year the first day of Summer and the longest day/shortest night of the year begins at 7:58 AM PDT on June 21st. Let’s get this party started!

There are many articles explaining what happens on this occasion; basically the Sun travels along its northernmost path in the sky. The North Pole is at its maximum tilt, and the Earth’s axis is pointed directly toward our Sun. This day provides us the most light, the thinnest veil to access Spirit in the most profound way. It leads with the longest day of the year, the brightest, most hopeful time, when the sprouts have sprouted and life is growing stronger every day.

For centuries people have gathered to celebrate this day as the return of the light of the Sun. It promised to give our crops what they need to grow, and likewise it provides humanity with that light as well. We have an opportunity on this day to join our intent and energy with the world’s people through prayer, feasts, bonfires, singing and dancing the new season into being. The sign that is responsible for this is Cancer, at 0 degrees 0 minutes. This is the sign of Mother, the home, family and nurturing. This Cardinal Water Sign is powerful, a leader by all rights, leading us into the Summer season.

This year the Sun is sextiled by the North Node at 1 degree Taurus 7 minutes setting up a special opportunity for us all. The Sun and North Node point us to our mission for this lifetime, where we are to shine and excel. With this blessed aspect comes hope and energy provided to us to get our act together. Sometimes in life we may feel the deck is stacked against us, keeping us from realizing our full potential. But here we have a gift providing we accept it and take it to the next level. Just think; Mother Earth provides for us a full cornucopia of support, but we have to apply it to our life by eating, bathing, growing and learning. Are you satisfied with what your life is providing you, or can you take it a step further? This is the moment to dream big dreams, step out into the light and show our talents and skills in the best ways we can.

So how do we do this? You may wish to gather together with like minded souls, family and friends, and honor what is being given to us. Look to the sky that sends us its solar energy and bask in it. Many set up celebrations with delicious food, music, singing and dancing to elevate ourselves. We commemorate those who came before us who looked at this day as the return of the Sun to shine its greatest light upon us. It’s about gratitude for all that is provided for us.

On this day the Moon, Venus and Mars are all in the sign of Leo. This makes for an even greater opportunity as this sign sees itself as unlimited; the King of the Jungle, powerful and strong. It represents the Father in the Zodiac, the leader of the pack. So between the Mother energy of Cancer, and the Father energy of Leo we have a balance of power. After all, we are all built to display our male/female selves, right and left brain in harmony and working together to create the best outcome with confidence and appreciation. Allow yourself to feel powerful and strong, then light the fire of your soul to move forward on your mission, whatever it is. Goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our life if we apply ourselves to the greatest good for all. But first, we must believe we deserve this. So on this occasion take the time out of your day or night to first have a moment of silence to gather your thoughts about just how fortunate we all are, then party hearty! Let the world and your guides and the angels bask in your light. Attract the highest energies to work for you and with you to accomplish your greatest goals, and set the intention fear will no longer rule the day, but confidence in yourself will pay you back with the greatest outcome you could hope for.

At 9:37 PM the Sun and Moon share the degree of 26 Gemini 43 minutes. This double Mutable Air Sign is preparing us for the coming Summer season! The Sun moves into the sign of Cancer on the 22nd of June this year, and with it very different energies.

Gemini is a mutable sign, meaning the last month of a season. All mutable signs are adaptable, ready for change. It is an Air sign, very mental, intellectual and full of wit. This Air sign is inquisitive; wanting to know a little bit about everything. Sometimes this energy gets scattered in many directions, finding it difficult to settle on one thing. The glyph for Gemini is the twins, showing how this binary sign can be both sides of the coin. Never landing on one thing can get this sign to do nothing about what they are interested in, so directing attention is a good thing. Geminis in many ways can be the eternal child. Their mind is bright, alert, curious, flexible, playful, and always eager for new experiences - and their attention span is often quite brief. They can grasp ideas quickly and once their initial curiosity has been satisfied, they want to go on to something else.

They crave frequent change, variety, meeting new situations and people.

Gemini is ruled by the God Mercury. Mercury is the messenger, and so are Geminis. The mental capacity and the speedy delivery of those thoughts are what Gemini‘s can excel in. The challenge is to stay connected to the world through not only the mind, but physically and emotionally. Gemini‘s can be aloof and cool. In order to put this double dual sign to its best use, it’s time to write, to speak, to communicate ideas and beliefs to those you love and care about. With the New Moon arriving later in the evening, gathering like minded souls and passing the “talking stick” in a circle would be perfect. The talking stick is passed around the group and allows for multiple people to speak in turn.

This year the Sun and Moon square the planet Neptune in Pisces. With the Sun square Neptune we are extremely sensitive and imaginative, and can get lost in our dreams, fantasies, and visions. You’ll be attracted to artistic and creative pursuits, the world of color, beauty, and emotion. You'll also be drawn to mysticism with deep spiritual aspirations and yearnings. Feeling gentle and peace-loving, you may lack the will and competitive spirit needed to make your way in the world, and may seek to avoid or escape the hard realities of life. This setup is to be overcome.

With the Moon square Neptune, you are a dreamer, attracted to the inner, mystical side of life, and may have trouble distinguishing the real from the imagined or illusory. You do not enjoy confrontation and can become very evasive when problems in your personal

life arise, escaping into your imagination in order to avoid dealing with them directly. You are also rather gullible and naive about people, especially if your sympathy has been aroused. You are very sensitive to music and can use it to bring yourself into emotional balance and harmony.

So on this occasion, put on some music, have some yummy snacks available, and share ideas with others. Or, if alone journaling and writing down goals you have for yourself brings the ideomotor response into play. This full body mind activity is a positive outlet for this New Moon, knowing what seeds we sow now will come to fruition once the Moon is full in Gemini on November 27th, 2023.
