On October 6th at 4:05 AM PDT, the Sun and Moon conjoin at 13 degrees Libra 25 minutes. The energies are heightened, as joining the Sun and Moon is Mars at 13 degrees Libra as well! Start the fireworks;)
Libra is a Cardinal Air Sign; an intellectual self-starter energy with the ambition to seek fairness and balance. It has a Positive polarity but being ruled by Venus, there is much heart and compassion here. As in every New Moon, there is a blending of energies from the Sun and Moon shining one light to focus on one facet of living. And here, we are focusing on relationships. Not a time to go it alone, but finding value in pooling our energies with others to accomplish higher/larger goals. This can be anything from making dinner with your mate, to working through very difficult relationship issues with an open heart and mind. Libra is the sign of open enemies, those who seemingly sabotage your life in ways you find challenging. So, it is also time to address said challenges and come to agreements or at least negotiate.
But add Mars to the mix and there may be a fight at hand! Mars is the warrior planet, and is telling us to stand up for ourselves and walk the talk. No more beating around the bush, say what you mean and mean what you say! We lose power and legitimacy with others if we are all talk and no action. So Mars in Libra brings more Positive polarity to the mix (yang) requiring us to act on our convictions.
The whammy can be Mercury at 20 degrees Libra Retrograde. Mercury Retrograde generally draws our thinking inward, going over what was and what is, without moving forward as easily. It is a time of review typically, so it can add a sense of caution to the otherwise wild Mars encouragement;)
So what is the big picture here? Well, we are in a new season with new variables and possibilities. With the season change comes a change in the weather, activities, social structures, holidays.....and 4 planets and luminaries in Libra. What do I suggest?
Decorate! Drag out the seasonal stuff and get busy with creativity. After all, Venus is the planet of creativity, color, beauty; all things that bring us comfort. And Venus rules the day! So where in the Summer months the daily activities are very different, let's celebrate Fall in our own special way. Lets indulge ourselves in good times, with good friends and family, to whatever level you see fit. Libra energy is about we, not me, so how do you get the most out of this time? Gather. Be part of the human family and see your reflection in other’s eyes. Be the shining example of truth and love, and gain friends you never saw coming!
Another way to celebrate is to bring in all the things created in the summer months, and use them; be it garden vegetables, fruit from the trees, gathering pine cones and wood for the hearth, your healthy body from being outside and being with Mother Nature. Bring all of you and your resources indoors to create and prepare for the next season, the Winter months. Libra opens up our minds to be more creative, more secure in trying new things due to it’s balancing nature. We have the Yin and Yang, the Negative and Positive polarity in Libra, in balance. We can use this energy to balance our own, and that is the highest use of this New Moon.
Quiet your mind and find a peaceful moment. See yourself in your mind’s eye in a reflection, in a night sky pool. See your glowing aura in this reflection beginning with a faint glow of white light. As you watch it it begins to emit color; see what colors come from what areas of your body. Just imagine it if you get stuck in your journey; don’t judge or control it, just observe what you are shown. Ask your body and guides to show you anything you need to see in order to bring your mind, body and soul into balance. Continue your observation until you are blazing white white light, and see yourself joining the other stars in our universe.
You are made of star stuff, and you will return to it. We all will. Blaze your trail.
