Full Moon in Libra 2021 is a “Super-moon”

On March 28th at 11:48 AM the Moon is Full in Libra. The Sun is 8 degrees Aries 18 minutes, and the Moon is stationed at 8 degrees Libra 18 minutes. The Aries/Libra axis has to deal with the self, and the self in relationships. That is the focus of this Full Moon.

Libra is a Cardinal Air sign, meaning leadership (sign that leads us into a season) and intellect (Air sign). It is male in its polarity, but a gentle and compromising energy. This makes it hard for the Libran energy to find it’s leadership opportunities, as it is it’s nature to see all sides and at times, take no sides. It’s about harmony and balance, like the glyph of the scales.

So when the Moon is Full in Libra, this exaggerates the energies of compromise, cooperation, peace and unity. Libra is ruled by Venus, bringing in finances, our values, and our love nature. What we appreciate most is important now, and it being the time of consequences from the seeds planted at the New Moon in Pisces, we see what is working and not working.

Opposite the Moon is the Sun in Aries, and it is accompanied in exact degrees by Venus and Chiron. As Venus rules Libra, this one is interesting. Where the Full Moon is pointing out our relationships, the Sun, Venus and Chiron in Aries is pointing to the self. Aries is a Cardinal Fire Sign, leadership energy with brazenness and boldness. Very different from the calming conversation of Libra. Venus in Aries is reminding us to love ourselves first, as all else depends on that. Chiron, the wounded healer, in Aries points out where we’ve been hurt, and whether we can rise above it to heal. This stellium encourages us to seek our highest dreams and access them.

Helping us here is a Grand Air Trine between the Full Moon in Libra, the planet Saturn at 11 degrees Aquarius, and Mars conjunct the North Node at 14 degrees Gemini. A Grand Trine is flowing energies between these planets and the Moon, giving us a game plan on how to accomplish our goals. Saturn gives us stability and structure, and Mars supplies the energy. Now all we need is a plan......

In order to use these energies most productively, it’s time to look at ourselves and our goals. Its time to break free from what you feel others expect from you and to look realistically at whether or not your approach has worked. Have you kept yourself from voicing your feelings and concerns so you don’t disturb the “peace” you’ve created? Do you deny yourself for the greater good? Or, do you know what you are going after in life free from mental ruts? These planets and luminaries are giving you permission to look at life through a new lens rather than rose colored glasses. Don’t be afraid to say what you mean and do what you say. Don’t be wishy washy, be the authority in your life and set the path for your highest good. These energies can push you to finally speaking up and risking break ups and changes. But isn’t that what must happen at times in order to move forward?

So look at this event as an opportunity to rise to the occasion and set the terms for your new life; as we’ve celebrated the Vernal Equinox; the beginning of a new Solar Year. Courage is here for you to access. Ultimately, we are here to balance our lives through the healthy understanding of “me and we”. We have all been through a roller coaster ride in this last year, but it taught us so much about ourselves and those we love and associate with. Let’s clean up this life and enrich it now with our new understanding of who we are in this world and what we can accomplish.
